  • Second City Location

OK, these are the options (see image):
    • the yellow square - Close by, little corruption, river, on a hill (good for defense), some grassland, lots of undiscovered lands, but also some overlap with Invictus.
    • the green square - A bit further, little overlap, one bonus grassland, some undiscovered land, lots of plains.
    • Moscow (the red square) - Quite far for a second city, no overlap, two bonus grasslands, cattle, some undiscovered land, nice river, more spices. Oh - and this will probably affect diplomatic relations with ND.
    • Another site - to the south, we have another bonus grassland. To the north, we know little. To the east - some coast, maybe. Post below if you choose this one.

Come to think of it, the location west of the Red Square will allow us to use that cattle from the beginning. On the other hand, it allows for even more corruption. Oh well - if this option wins, we can discuss it later.

I would much rather have the additional defense of the hills, especially if things turn sour with ND.

        Red tile.

Increased defense from the hills under it, and it's easier to irrigate. Plus, it has two bonus grasses in immediate range and a cow once it expands. And if they attack us, they've got to go across a river...

As for our third city, settle on the northern coast (check Trip's site).

          I previously suggested Green tile.

The recent event creates a totally different opinion. So here my 4 reasons why Red tile MUST be our second city:::

          1. We are establishing a border where NDE cant settle upto without going too far (in short green space is guaranteed)
          2. The river set up is just Awesome for defensive purpose. Check the river, the only way they can attack us w/o river bonus is from north. That cause their troops to swing around in rather ackward fashion.
          3. Hills add even more bonus.
          4. We dont want this site to fall in their hands.
          :-p

Go with the red square as soon as possible. We definitely want it first.

Based on latest map info at Trip's site, I think we should place the city just one square west of current red box. We will have access to all bonus squares with out expanding. Also, the new map shows better future growth potential in this area.
