  • Apoc's disinformation campaign

I have a strong feeling that many groups suspect that we have contact with ND. This is unavoidable. We might as well take advantage of the problems with the situation.

I propose we make it look like we have actually contacted Vox. This could be beneficial to both our civilization and Vox. ND will believe that Vox is nearby and whoever sees Vox will think we are nearby.

We can't make it obivous that we know where Vox is. Just make it look like a slip up in communication.

My proposal is to set up relations with Vox and make this a joint effort them.

    How does that sound?

Furthermore, we can pretend Vox is on very friendly terms while dealing with ND and then using them as a bargaining tool.

If we are incredible manipulative enough, we can do this without Vox's approval. If we can successfully disinform everyone, Vox wont even know that they were used. That's just ideal scenario, but im thinking of something to that degree...

I think wat we wanna do is contact Vox ambassador ASAP and give very vague and false intention to potentially try a future alliance with them. Come up like we are dog wagging tails madly or a cat rubbing itself on a person it likes ya know. Then once this public image is portrayed with vox against ND, we just back out. Vox won't know what happened.

Nah, I don't want to play Vox like that. I believe they will be good allies.

I have another possible plan...make it look like this contact with ND is fake.

Not sure how yet, still thinking.

What significance would having it look like we haven't contacted ND yet? If someone finds either us or them, then that team can check the diplomacy screen and see that they have contact with us. However, the faux Vox alliance may be feasible, if done correctly. I leave it up to you to take care of this Apoc.

I think they need an embassy to see the contacts, Trip.

They do, plus they need contact with both of us, I believe.

Ahhh. Guess that shows how much research I've done in that area.

Anyways, I think it'll be much easier to convince NDE that we're allied with Vox than it would be to convince everyone else that we've not contacted NDE.

Who says that while the other civs in-game knowledge is restricted by the rules, that the players out of the game don't know??? Isn't it very plausable that either one of our team mates or someone from NDE has leaked this info?

We dont need to ruin Vox relationship in the process. If Vox doesnt know about it, it wont hurt em. We gotta convince NDE.

Maybe from NDE. But Our team shouldnt have leaked any info. The diplomacy rules and guideline prohibits this.

I'm mearly pointing out that some aspects of the game are harder to keep secret than others, and perhaps some teams have secret previous or out-of game relationships...perhaps we should explore this last statement?
