  • Website With Up-To-Date Screenshots and Save

I've modified my old Civ 3 Demo Game website (which I used for my game reports while I was President) for Lux Invicta's usage.

You can find it at this URL: http://www.geocities.com/ssjtrip/WhoDat/LuxInvicta.html

I will keep it up to date with what's going on with Lux Invicta, always with the most up-to-date screenshots and save files (that I have, at least).

Right now I have the screenshot of the new lands that we can see (I've moved the warrior since, but we still only see the same thing). This up-coming turn (3600 BC) the warrior will be moving onto the hill 2 spaces to the west (he's currently 1 away from it now), so we'll be able to see even further inland.

    Celebrate!

OK, this is faster than the other site. We can use that one as an archive.

I added Trip's site to the GameStatus thread.

good idea, Trip site has some sort of layout where as the other site is just a table with white background. New stuff at Trip's, archive at ftp site. Just make sure not to publicize trip's URL... theres no password.
      :-p

I finally went to this site, but only because Trip gave me the link so I would check on something.

I'm just lazy in this area.

I'll try to keep it as up-to-date as I can (which shouldn't be too hard... normally I just update everything right after I send the turn to Lego), so you can always go to that site for the most recent screenshots, game report and save file.

Maybe I'll remove the 'News' section from the GameStatus thread - this'll save me an update every turn, while you do it anyway on your site.

Is your site safe from spies, by the way? Could anyone involved in the Civ3DemoGame (accidentally) go there?

Yup. If you use geocities search engine i think it will show up.

But that's a MINIMAL risk. We shouldn't post the ftp-password there though. And only use the site for newsflashes.

Please also remove the password for our game from the site!

The chances of it being 'found' are very unlikely. No one can find it unless someone from this site reveals the URL to one of the other teams. There are no links to it anywhere besides what I've shown you guys (none on any sites or anything).

The reason for the other site just being boring and white was that I thought it would just be a file store.
I can change it so that you can put your site onto it so it has a password and will be safer.... plus the url is short and easy to remember...

Yes, do what Jordie suggests, and allow Trip to ftp his updates into the new site.

It's up to Trip whether he wants to or not.
