    I have too general gameplay issues I want to bring up. The first is the spanish AI civ. I have heard other people who have played PTW regular multiplay say that the spanish AI civ starts to pump out 2 units per turn in every city around the time it gets cavalry because of a bug. Has anyone else heard of this and/or whether or not it affects PBEM?

    The second is war weariness. There was another thread (I think in the PTW thread) saying that no goverments ever have war weariness in PBEM games. Is this true?

    I can't confirm any of your concerns, but I have an issue myself:

    What if we are at war and decide to attack a unit, and our unit dies. There can be two scenarios here:

    a) Preserve Random Seed is on
    We could just reload the turn and decide not to attack;

    b) Preserve Random Seed is off (as in our game)
    We could reload and try again until our unit is succesful.

    How does PTW-PBEM deal with this?

      Well, that's just the scenario... don't like the results of combat, just replay it...

        So we'd never have to lose an "attacking" battle?

          No one playing PBEM ever does.

            Under toga's pledge, he stated that their team will not "play ahead". As far as I know, C3DGers define playing ahead as anything that isn't reversible. So sending an embassy and checking to see what AI would offer is okay (cause you can check before you finalize it). Investigating a city and reloading to get the cash back IS playing ahead.

            We cant enforce this on them, but they pledged by themselves that they won't do such a thing... We didnt ask them to. They probably will keep the pledge for the most part.
