  • Chat with GS Representative.

While I was doing work late at night, the Representative of GS (Meshellic) icqed me and we had the opprtunity to have a brief chat. Mostly content waas to clear any confusion (which civ are you? what color etc,) I put in some good words about how our team intends good will and typical stuff... We each tried to ask alittle and attempted to subtley dig up info about starting position, to no avail.

I hinted that we are looking foward to great relations... possibly, tech trading and teaching each other etc. Meshellic's response was:

    "Meshelic (00:47 AM) :
nobody would expect a Lux Invictica and Gathering Storm partnership, that is true'

    interesting.
    :-p

Yes, we need to figure who we trust with /turn deals. I think GoW is out.

Why? Because they have a 'war' theme?

Well, yes. There's no rep hits in MP w/o AI. Why wouldn't they declare war shortly after?

We must be careful and balance diplomacy with warfare early on. If we alienate too many people early on, they may be able to ally and unite to defeat us, should we attack them, therefore until we're the strongest in the world, we have to make sure that we protect ourselves diplomatically.

I vote for niceties, and obscure vaguarities towards entreties and debutants of other civs....

Err, what he said. Essentially, keep them dumb and happy....err...for now
