  • :::Intelligence/espionage:::

Though I am not a minister of foreign relations, (I don't even intend to run for any position this term.) I just thought it would nice to start an intelligence/espionage thread. There isn't much valuable information floating around just yet, but this thread can serve as a place for all currently known information about other teams, since some people seem to have confusion about who is playing which civ and etc. Feel free to discuss how to approach our playing tactics against a specific team. I will try to update on the status of the teams.

//Agenda was gathered from what they describe themselves as in public forum and thus isn't really reliable.

    Team: Roleplay (RP)
    Civ: Spain (Rel/Com) (FINAL)
UU: Conquistador (3/2/2 //Terrain as road, 70 shield)
Agenda: pursuit of wealth and enjoyment of ptw demo game

    Team: Glory of War (GoW)
    Civ: China (Mil/Ind) (FINAL?)
    UU: Rider (4/3/3)
    Agenda: Warmongering and conquering civs.

    Team: Gathering of Storms (GoS)
    Civ: Egypt
    UU: War chariot (2/1/2)
    Agenda: Pursuit of knowledge.

    Team: Legoland (Lego)
    Civ: Carthage (Com/Ind) (FINAL)
UU: Numidian Merc. (2/3/1, //30 shield)
    Agenda: To build and build.

    Team: Neu Demogyptica (DG)
    Civ: Arabia (FINAL?)
    UU: Ansar Warrior (4/2/3)
    Agenda: ?

    Team: Vox Controli (Vox, VC)
    Civ: undecided
    UU:N/A
    Agenda:?

    Good work.

I thought there was some dispute over who would have Egypt and Carthage?

no conflict exists anymore. The Neu Demogyptica (Can I abbreviate them as ND or Dmgyptca?) isn't sure about being Egypt, but as their name implies, there's a strong possibility. Their leader posted Egypt as their official civ as of now, so it is not 100% concrete, but very close to
      :-p

        DG is good.

I haven't really been keeping up to date much with the other teams, so any work put into this is good for reducing my ignorance.

Well now there is a new conflict after GoS decided to choose Egypt. Both team seems to be willing to back down on the choice, but personally I'd rather see DG get it. They are the guests and plus their name sounds Egyptian anyway.

China makes sense for GOW. GS should be the Persians...but I wont tell them that

Also, Calc II, you should at least be our intellegence operative...I think my profile is a little too high at the moment ->see the trash talking thread

I intend to unofficially spend great deal of time in our Ministry of foreign affairs. I think the foreign Ministry will have the most fun in PTW. After all, this will be the first experience for most in here to deal with a thinking man.

I just can't run for any position right now. 1. My RL is getting quite busy and 2. You will know if you ask my ex's about my ability of "commitment"

Crap! Looks like both DG and GW has a UU knight that has 3 moves. Thats gonna be some era...

Notice GW is now also industrious. The race for pyramid intensifies...

I think this is all the more reason to give up on both the Pyramids and GL. We're not in a good podition to get either, really.

I can see the advantage of being the Indians now.. their nice elephants don't need any horses or iron to make, horses are going to be important .. maybe we should research the wheel first,
and horseback soon after as the chariots can't cross mountains or jungles without roads.

The UU's with 3 moves aren't that great IMHO, though the spanish conquistador has 6 moves with its 2 all terrain as roads movements! (when attacking it will not be able to attack on its own easily i think, if its going into enemy territory)

Its better to have a UU with greater attack/defence bonuses, though the Panzer gets 3 attacks so its pretty cool.
