I offer the same arguments as last time.

I think fast units are a must! So horsemen first. That means: research the Wheel.

I was arguing for wheel last time when debate was wheel VS iron. but with given choices now...

warrior code - out of question. We don't have immediate need. Unless we are diving toward monarchy... maybe.

ceremonial burial - temple could be really useful since I envision our cities to grow rapidly (we are gonna settle mostly on grassland/plain to find horse arent we?) im hoping tho but if we can find one or two luxury and connect them rapidly using our super workers we may be able to hold it off until we encounter rel civ. (we know 2 exist as of now Spain (roleplay) and Celt (GoW))

pottery - depends. If we are aiming for pyramid and we get it, we can trade for it from exp civ and hold off researching. If we are totalling giving up on pyramid (we might have competition for it) research this FIRST! but since we start out with mansory I don't see why we shouldn't even try to get pyramid ourselves. so

Alphabet - Route to another wonder I beleive is critical. Great Library. AI considers this one very valuable as well so if we have some AIs we may be able to sell it. But doesn't commercial civ start out with this one? I have no objection if we choose this one, but I think we can go with another tech as first tech. (nothumb)

Ironworking - Depending on size of the map, we may not even have to worry about being attacked, attack for long while. We can afford to make this tech the second priority or even trade ealry from first contact civ. generally most players dive into this one so I expect many teams to have this one and we may be able to offer another tech while other teams wastes their time working on this one. (nothumb)

Wheel - I prefer this one since it would emphasize early reconaissance with chariot and also may be a unique tech we can have monopoly with. No civ starts out with this one unless your japan and we may have many supplier of other techs from others but not many supplier of tech with this one. Thus we will have advantage when trading. ("Oh you don't want to trade tech under this circumstance? we will simply find another who is eager to accept!")
        :-p

But I think everyone will probably research the wheel. We'll have a jump on iron working.

It's crucial that we find a sources of horses ASAP. Finding iron (first) would be a bonus, but won't be critical... our forces will be of the mounted type anyways.

We should contact another team quickly (if possible) and research in such a way that we may trade techs.

wait, what BFM may be a good idea, making a diplomatic agreement to reserach a different tech and trade it isn't immoral or a cheating... We may want to express our interest in trading knowledge and show our side of 'eager to work together cooperatively side' as well. Perhaps planning for them to research say, wheel and us iron working and making a vow to exchange it wouldnt be a bad idea. We could gain alot from this early diplomatic agreement.

We should make our science agreements with Legoland. They are harmless builders anyway.

IF Roleplay team chooses to become a Sci trait civ as they may be considering, then we may have a nice science trading partner.

This is actually called 'good strategy'.

Statusperfect - can I use that quote 'Legoland are harmless builders' as the second part of my signature? The first part will stay the same...
