I have a cunning plan.... a plan more cunning than a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University....
Basically I have an idea for a 'Military Academy'. We would need to be in alliance with another Civ for this to work. For obvious reasons the example I will use is Vox.
Suppose we build a city out in the arsehole of nowhere, with reasonable production capability. And suppose we gift that city to Vox with the express intention that they should use it to build Warriors and only warriors. Then suppose Vox do the same on Estonia, gifting us an identical city. We build a few warriors each, move them somewhere and allow the other team to 'practice' on them, turning military units into Elite units, and possibly even triggering a Great Leader, who knows. Obviously we write sufficient safeguards into the treaty etc etc.
A risky plan I agree, but think of the advantage we would have with Elite cavalry instead of just veteran...
