    Greetings.

Perhaps someone here can summarize the Lego situation for me? There seem to be lots of scattered threads, and I have enough reading to do as it is.

    From what I can tell:
Lego wants to REX as much as possible cover the continent before anyone else finds out about how much land you guys have over here, but that's about it.

      That's about it, yes.

REXing, while not overstretching militarily. Finishing The Pyramids, changing government to Republic soonafter. Being nice to everyone else, doing lotsa win-win trades, hopefully preventing everybody from even thinking about landing units/settlers on our continent.

I will appreciate if someone else does a more detailed summary, as I have got a lot to do today...

Well, Vondrack summarized it quite well.

First priority: Rexing, as fast as possible, before somebody else comes and plops a city on Legos, securing our resources, while not neglegting our military, to be able to push away any possible invasion/settlement.

Then: finish the Pyramids. In the beginning, before we had made contact with the others and we hadn't known about the passage that leads to Bob, we wanted to build the Great Library and the Great Lighthouse (in Panama). The plan was named O2E (operation double edge). The idea was to prevent us falling behind in tech. Because we've found the passage, the priorities have changed, due to the fact that we are worried about foreign settlements. So we changed the plan to fit the new situatiuon: Panama has built barracks and now is building units, while Jackson is building the Pyramids.

We want to play a peaceful game and land on Alpha Centauri We want to become a trading power, due to our peaceful politics, fair trades, abundency of resources (thanks to our big teritorry) and commercial trait (more money).
So, you won't see us waging wars, with 2 exceptions:
        1. defending ourselves from foreign invasions (including foreign settlements)
        2. helping smaller nations, trying to prevent others to become too powerful.

        This is pretty much it.

Btw, how do you like Legos Minor? This was supposed to become the craddle of the reborn Lux Invicta It woulod have been an interesting situation, having you our satellite civ

Edit: something I forgot: Wellcome Trip

          Good summary Tiberius.

Also, we hope to have the FP built in a new city (I know you'll love the name, Trip: it's Karina ) as soon as we can.

            Some things I forgot:

            1. Building soon the FP in Karina (thanks Kloreep)
            2. changing to Republic after finishing the Pyramids (this was already in Vondrack's short summary)
            3. Trying to achieve a tech lead, if possible. This will be done with a close cooperation with GS (basically we have agreed with them on this; it seems that they are currently the No1 research power, but we have the most techs and we have the No2 research potential)
            4. Build at least one medieval wonder, if possible 2 of them. Most wanted wonders: Sistine Chappel, J.S.Bach's Cathedral, Smith's Trading Co, Magellan's Expedition; backup wonders: Copernicus' Observatory, Newton's University, Leonardo's Workshop.

            I can't remember anything else.

              Bah... Karina...

Thanks for the summaries. Good general stuff. Maybe you can elaborate a bit more on certain areas, namely: Economy, Military, and Diplomacy. Those are the three big areas that the Chronicle will be focusing upon.

Thanks for letting me in, it will be a fun experience.

We'll be sure to make up exciting names for all of operations to keep the history interesting! I mean, we've already got Operation: Double-Edge, and that's pretty cool as is

Once I figure out exactly what Operation: Brick Storm is, I'm totally going to propose it...

I'm sure the Spanish Sagas are a much more interesting reading than our forums, but hey, we are builders not talkers

Besides, you will be able to read the Daily Blueprint firsthand!

Being able to witness the Oblong Gearbox debate first-hand makes it all worth it.

Can anyone please summarize those areas for me?

Why the hell we granted you the access?

Seriously, dunno about others, but I do not really have time to put summaries for you here. As for diplomacy, read the XXX - correspondence & foreign affairs threads, that should give you a good idea about what we are doing or trying to do regarding our f.a.

As for military, the defense analysis is most likely our most comprehensive document on that issue.

As for Economy, probably the best thing to do is to have a look at the city placement discussion and the Master Builder topped thread.

For short term plans, see the Next turn plans topped thread.

                      Don't be lazy to read!
