So, we start next to our antithesis; that's... interesting.

We should definitely trade minimaps then. It'll improve our relations, and we can see how close they are (depending on their proximity, I might even vote for placing our second city in a blocking position).

Trip said that his team may trade mini maps with us. He is going to ask his team what they think. WHat do you guys think?

Our minimap certainly carries more value now that we've founded a second city; if we trade, I think we should agree not to give or describe the maps to other teams.

Anyone know how Lux is doing? I haven't been watching the demographics screen closely, and I don't have a good impression of their relations with other teams.

Lux is rumored to have in-game contact with Neu Demogyptica.
They didn't appear on our Demography screen recently, so we cannot estimate if they're populated or not. Chance is small that they already have a second city (they would need wheat or cattle in the radius of their capital).
I'd say we wait a couple of turns before trading minimaps.

Judging from their current score, Luxes are doing pretty bad (they are constantly last or last but one, IIRC). My guess is a mediocre or below-average starting location (the same goes for Gathering Storm).

I have no specific feeling about trading minimaps with LI. Can't think if any advantages or disadvantages at the moment... on second thought, we might get info on their whereabouts PLUS a hint about where ND is... that would be nice, I'd say.

Yeah, I'd probably go for the deal.

Yeah, why not? If the RPers (and maybe others) are handing out general locations, it's best to trade anyway.

Of course, I wouldn't be so sure of ND's location. They started the game with a scout, and those guys move fast.

Yes, why not? If we wanted our position to be secret, we shouldn't have traded any minimaps. Now that we are trading them anyway, why not with Lux, too?
