    I voted no because:

Voted NO, reasons mentioned in the Discussion to Chronicle thread (much like what Tibi says, even though I would slightly prefer going northwards to explore the isthmus... hm, thinking of it... going southwards, just avoiding the hut may be a good idea... yes, I like it).

Having thought about it , voted no, I had forgotten about the possibility of the horde ruining our terraforming improvements.

Moving Conan southwest might be an idea - however that won't really reveal much.

Looking at the coast/sea pattern, it is possible that there might be more than a dead-end peninsula there. If we are to move north, I suggest we make a turn-by-turn decision analysis, though I suspect that it will take 2 turns to ultimately reveal what is there.

Voted yes. Maybe just me but the way I always play is to pop huts as soon as I see them. Maybe I reckon the earlier you pop them the better the results (if its not barbs).

Not entirely convinced either way but my gut feeling is to pop it.

I always pop huts ASAP, too. But this is when I play alone. The stake is higher now, IMHO.

Rewards may also be greater.... imagine its a settler, that would be a considerable boost to development.

That's true. Let's wait and see the vote's result.

Would it be unethical to replay the turn if we popped the hut and got a horde of barbarians? I strongly disapprove of cheating but at this early time, a horde would be disasterous for us as the hut is too close to Legopolis.

That would be very unethical. Hypocritical, too.

Also, a horde wouldn't be the end of the world. Conan would have a good chance against them, and there's always the national guard to protect home.

I would consider it blatant cheating, too, and would never done that. We are civvers good enough to make our way through history without any kind of "time machine". Besides, as Kloreep correctly points out, a couple of angry barbarian warriors may be a trouble, a nuisance, but not the end of our days... I strongly oppose any notion towards "replaying" or "fine-tuning" our turns.

Intreseting result. We're in the same situation as we had never organized a poll

But now, at least, we are sure that we are not sure what to do! Whoever plays the turn, will have to take the decision - it will be Jack, I guess, as he is officially assuming his duties from today on.

I feel a bit guilty because I voted, "Don't care".

The reason for my choice was that it makes no difference. As several of you have said, if it's barbarians we fine. I could see no compeling reason to sway we either direction.
