  • Changing the Way Saves are Posted and Played

This is the first time I have posted a poll so hopefully it goes right. There has been discussions about posting the sent save in advance of playing the save. There is no clear majority in the discussion so I am posting this poll.

    Option:
    1. Continue playing and posting as we have since the begining of Legoland.

    2. Post the sent save as soon as it is received. Do not play the save until "X" number of hours. We can discuss the number of hours by posting messages in this thread.

    3. I leave this open to other possible solutions. Please explain your unique option in this thread.

Other. Received save should be posted immediately first thing, but once a turnplayer has done that, I think they should be able to play it immediately so long as there is nothing unplanned for and a minimum number of waiting hours isn't in effect. (So I think we should have a minimum waiting time for [i]some turns, I just don't see a reason to have one for every single save right now in peacetime; hence, I didn't vote for the first option. But a small number of waiting hours certainly couldn't hurt.)

      +1.

Actually, this can be solved by telling Voxes to send the save to more of use - saves the turnplayer the hassle of having to post the save.

Whoever it was voting for the X hour delay - list your preference for the delay/waiting period, please.

OK, will do once I have all the addresses.

BTW, I have finally recalled your family name and thus was able to find your email, Steve (if it is the inco one - and just discovered another one, the @mountaincable.net...).

              Who else?
              Tibi? The xnet.ro address?
              David? btinternet.com address?

Well I voted X hr delay, but meant to pick option 3. What can I say, I can't even vote correctly in my own poll.

sarnott at mountaincable dot net is my home email and my preferred one.

Option 3 here too - though as I said in another thread - if 2 people or more request a delay in any turn being played then the discussion should shift immediately to how long the delay should be (or we should have a preset amount that we would delay it).

Yesterday, I had an itching to post something like "considering the fact that Steve usually joins the majority in polls, we seem to know the will of the people already..."

I wake up, check the forum - and guess what...

OK, unless I have missed someone, we have TWO people wishing to be added to the list of those being sent the save - Leo and Steve. Anyone else? I do not want to email Voxes hundred times... so let's make it one... ahem... "mass addition".

As long as someone can upload the save from time to time before playing the turn (on request, or when there is something important happening) I don't want to receive ASAP every turn. I am usually not at home when the turns are being played, so I can/could see them only when the turn was played already.

I will do what I've been doing until now: download the save from the Chronicle update.
