Lego entered it last turn because they just gave us Currency and Construction which caused us to enter it this turn...............

I have missed playing the turn for Lego by just minutes this morning... and when I checked the "turn played" save Zargon emailed me, I found - to my horror - out he only "sent" you Republic, without "accepting" it on our side. I am terribly sorry for this, he must have forgotten about that our treaty expressly stated you're supposed to actually receive it on this turn.

If you planned switching to Republic immediately and this causes a problem to you, be so kind and propose some kind of a balance (probably in gold?) to offset you for the losses inflicted by our mistake. I just hate not keeping promises.

Again, accept my deepest apologies for what happened.

I have managed to briefly talk to ZargonX and he swore he did "accept" the Rep gift before sending the save on. He explained he forgot to create a pre-"turn sent" save for me and later replayed the turn in order to fix this, possibly forgetting to "accept" only this time. So, hopefully, the real save sent on is correct and the mistake happened only afterwards, when he was creating an auxiliary save for our internal purposes (map generation etc.).

Let me know, please, if that was the case.

P.S.: barbs your galleys can see are less of a problem... those we have near our cities now are what makes our life difficult... Medieval times came too early for us.

Watch ND carefully, I would not assume they're going to attack us, but we've heard this kind of lame pretense before. They might also choose to attack until they've gotten some barbarians, using that to hide a buildup. Their UU has an Achilles heel: with a defense of 2, horsemen stand a 50-50 chance of beating it if its on flat terrian unfortified an we're attacking, and horsemen cost 1/2 as many shields, so don't panic.
