I couldn't find the thread where I first brought up the notion of a GA contract, so I figured I'd start a new thread. When discussing a GA contract, I am not going to get team specific, I just want us to lay the ground work so when the time comes, we can spring it on all the teams at once (making it so none of the other teams can use our idea).
What terms do we offer? We should be able to get alot as this contract could be a tremendous boost to what ever teams we make a deal with.
Here is the minimun terms I would offer (now these are mininum, we start negotionations MUCH higher)
They (the contracted team) can tell us where to move the unit, so long as it does not violate any other contract we have with other teams. If the unit is lost before the deal is completed, then the contract is considered obsolete and a new contract would need to be drawn up. The gold and tech we got will not need to be repaid.
2 GPT (Maintance for that useless outdated conscript would still cost 1 GPT and the 2nd GPT, well, we got to make SOME money)
One tech on the outset of the deal.
One tech on completion of the deal.
NO NONAGRESSION PACT! If we get contracted by another team to go to war with a team that we have a GA contract with, we tell them we won't attack with the unit they have control of and will move it where ever they want. Tell them the GPT part of the deal maybe suspended during the war.
Other options:
Maybe add artillery units to the deal, or workers. I have also thought that since we might be in a quad pact (or tri pact) with the others, and tech on the outset of the deal is usless, then get workers (yes, that was plural) and artillery units instead (again, that was plural).
Anything else anybody can think of?
Ok, I'm going to break my own rule:
RP (those stupic conquiestidors are nearly useless against humans) and Lego (so they can get their GA without going to war, a builders dream come true) are prime candidates for this deal.
PS- Yes, I know that Artillery is an industrial age unit, I was refering to a unit type....
