Togas sends me propaganda emails so I thought I would share some with the rest of the team:

Ghengis,

Just got back from my vacation last night. Things are certainly
getting
interesting. I have told adaMada to send your people an urgent message
about
meeting up. We need to meet up soon as our nation has met ND and they
are making
a good offer for Alphabet. I'd prefer not to enrich them any more than
I have
to.

Are you guys pinned into a corner? Do you have more land to your west?
We're
situated on the south-eastern corner of the map and still trying to get
a better
idea of what is north and what is west of us, but we've found ND in the
process
of heading towards you guys.

Anyhow, we'll stall negotiations with ND for a few turns but not too
long. Have
your ambassador get back to ada ASAP and send someone south along the
western
coastline to meet up with our warrior who will be headed north.

Also note: We have researched Bronze. If you don't have that, we could
have a
very profitable 3 for 3 trade ... assuming, of course, we don't give in
and trade
with someone else.

I told him we are in the northeast corner of the continent right against the ocean with very little room to expand.

I think we should foster the idea that we are in a horrible position with no city sites available so as to make ourselves seem less of a threat.

I don't think anyone likes ND very much, maybe exept LI, who seems to have a similar strategy to them; namely isolationists. We have traded minimaps with Lego, and they are to the west of where ND is. I think that we could make some sort of deal with them that might contain Demogyptian agression should it be necessary in the future.

Also, on the subject of Legoland FA, I think that cooperating with them will be good. They are in a different part of the world than us, so we will not be crowded in by 'friends', and they could provide us with a launching off point for future attacks. We could also stay a leader in technology with their cooperation. On the flip side, we could provide them with a powerful ally, and maybe fight some wars for them.

We've met Lux, we have two techs they don't have. (The Wheel and Warrior Code) Do they have two techs to trade us?
