i am not exactly sure, but i am almost positive that it takes 3 turns to build a road on a hill, and 5 turns to build a mine, if we are still planning on putting our first at camp herring and having our settler get there and build a city on it's first and only turn of existence, you will only be able to build a road on that hill before you have to move to the grassland tile to build the last part of the road, i don't think that there will be time to finish a mine, a road, and build another road on the grassland square

i think the shielded grassland tiles beside of the river would have been a more efficient use of our worker, but it's ok i suppose
True, but after looking at it I realized that roaded that shielded grassland would make the path to Camp Herring 3 tiles long. To get there and found the city in one turn it needs to be two tiles long. The only way to do that was to road the unshield grassland or the wine on the hill and I figured the wine is something we can come back later and mine while I don't see us using the unshielded grassland anytime soon.

So current plan is to road the wine, then road the city site.

i say red and blue paths, and i'd send our garrison out along the road to at least the hills in the direction of the yellow path
True but if that scout pops a hut and generates a warrior close to our capital it could come in after our capital, which is a possiblity I would like to hedge against.

The one to the SE would put the gems in our border after it expanded, but leaves room to build another city up that direction.

Building it two tiles to the NW would put the gems in our border right away. hmmmm... I think this is best (plus it will have the cattle when it expands).

Scouts cannot take over cities or pillage tile improvements. There is no need to defend our city yet.

I say move Jr along the red path. Moving diagonally reveals more map.
I was thinking of putting the second city NE of the cow, but wasn't sure what else was up there.

Ghengis I think we can safetly move the warrior and here's why, if the scout gets a goodie hut and say a warrior we will see the warrior 2+ turns from us. We could then rush either a spear or warrior. I'd also say the blue path and purple path. The area near us will be explored soon enough.

            I vote Blue and Purple.

One, because it sounds like the description of a bruised enemy, and two, because I think they should be sent out as far as possible in an attempt to go farther in a direction than the Demogyptic Scouts.

Just launch out in a straight line and don't worry about filling in the gaps. We have a chance and discovering the other civs and maybe some goodie huts.

i wouldn't send our third warrior much farther northeast if you do send him to explore any more in that direction at all, like maybe move one more hill before turning him back...i think you should move him back to our city then move him along the road to explore those hills to the northwest

other than that things look pretty good

I figured he would go east 1, then N 1, then hug the coastline going west.

IMHO, we can trade the mini-map. No harm, and will give us a cooperative image. And we need to know where our potential targets are.

I think we should offer to trade mini-maps which each of the other teams.
