well i have a few questions for any man who would be king (or emperor in this case)

what makes you the right candidate for the job?

what approach to the early game are you going to take?

how are you going to expand our holdings?

how receptive to advice will you be?

what will you do when we first encounter another civ?

I'm running. City site selection and maximum tile utilization is one of my strengths. For reference I will submit the colonization of Uber Island.

Rapid expansion, dare I say it almost a bulder approach. Found city, build warriors until the first city can build a settler, cities after the first one will build a barracks as their first item and then build a defensive unit.

Rapidly claiming as much territory as possible through city sites. Cutting off other civs and if necessary attacking their settlers and newly founded cities.

Very, I believe the team that wins will be the most TEAM oriented.

Most likely try to trade for techs. It really depends on our and their position at the time of the meeting.

Gee I was going to say that my vote could be bought.... oh well.

              Long Live Emperor Ghengis!

I think our grand Emperor will be VERY receptive to advise (all praise the No-Con!)

I could be interested in the position of Consul of Commerce. Not that I'd have much to do to start...

Both Unorthodox and I have expressed interest in becoming the consul of foreign affairs.

                Side note:
I do not have PTW as of yet. I do not believe this will hinder me in any way in foreign affairs, since it would be discussing with other foreign affairs ministers from the other teams, not trying to see what the AI will give us. It is correct that change in diplomacy (what can be traded, etc) between PTW and Civ III, right?

Personally, I think you should duel for it, but as we are still in the stone age the only weapon of choice is large "clobbing sticks" so go at it.

Seriously, if go the one turn then discuss approach the others are advocating then everyone shoudl be able to put in their 2 cents and I doubt we will have contact for a while but we can have an election for Foreign Consul.

Wow, I thought with a smaller team we could make decisions faster and have an edge over the larger teams but we have still had just barely half of our members who have voted on this poll.

Probably because there is no point, there is only one candidate. Im still trying to figure who voted for me after I dropped out...

Thanks, whoever you are, maybe next time...

Panzer there is no reason to need PTW for this kind of Foreign affairs. Ghengis can appoint someone, or decide by any means he deams fit, election, contest, whatever. There won't be all that much to do at the start in any case.

How about we split the job? Be joint Consuls? We can each choose a few teams that we will deal with. Simple as that. That is 3 teams for each of us I believe...

                        Sure, I'd be glad to.

By the way, if you want to chat on Apolyton, how can you make a new room (like to chat privately with other FM)

That would work if you need a tie breaking vote you can come to me (assuming I win as there are almost half the votes still out there). The Spartan military society had 2 kings that handled their foreign relations and a council of Elders that advised them.
