  • Operation Terrorblock - The invasion of Lego

Time to teach those peaceful hippy builders a thing or two about war

As you all know, we are going to invade Lego with GS. The operation was scheduled 7 turns from now (1250 AD) but our force will only be able to land in 1270 AD which will be the real D-Day.

The force assembled will involve 40 Infantry, 40 Marines, 40 Tanks, and 24 (or possibly 32) Artillery. They will be supported by 12 bombers (28 by the time we land, and if we decide to hit Jackson). At sea, our navy will comprise 16 destroyers, 18 transports and 3 carriers. GS will contribute on the west side a similarly sized force (maybe larger).

In the following post I will explain the details of the builds and include a spreadsheet with a city-by-city rundown.

    *** WAR STUFF ***

We are building up with a war with Lego which will begin in 7 turns (well, that's when we'll load the

troops). Our main combat ally will be GS which will invade from the west with the objective of

crippling Lego's FP core, our objective will be the Jackson/Legoland area. ND will be "neutral" and

will be our main espionage provider. ND is also gearing up for war, ostentibly as a follow-up force

but in reality, ND's main target will be... GS! Yes, we're backstabbing GS (well, ND is) hopefully

while they have their main army in Lego and their continent is loosely defended. Aren't we evil?

The invasion force vs. Lego will be inmense, and we are on shedule to finish the army in 7 turns.

The composition of the GEFORCE (GoW Expedition Force) will be as follows (as well as scheduled completition times)

Infantry - 40 Units (All completed and organized into 5 8-unit stacks spread out in our land)

Tanks - 40 units (24 completed, 8 being built per turn)

Artillery - 24-32 units (18 completed, will likely need ND assistance to build them, ND is

giving us their current artillery force in exchange for the city of Mordor)

Marines - 40 units (none completed, will begin 2 turns from now)

Bombers - 12-16 units (9 completed, all will be loaded on carriers)

The main ground forces are being built in the eight main productive cities. Bombers, ships, and

artillery are being built in the other cities.

The composition of the Fleet will be as follows

Carriers - 3 (2 completed, third one, CV-3 Aggie, being built in Deep Dark Dungeon)

Destroyers - 18 (12 completed, 2 more finished next turn, 2 more the following). 15 of these

destroyers will be used in the main stack, with the remaining 3 "on watch". Details below.

Transports - 18-19 (14 completed, 4 more to be built, 5 in case we decide to use 32

artilleries). Total carrying capacity = 152.

      *** INVASION STUFF ***

Our fleet should start amassing around the rallying point before 1240 AD. On that turn our fleet will begin sailing south and our pickets will take out the Lego ships around there (the carrier-based bombers should be able to leave them at 1-hp so our Destroyers end up intact)

Our fleet will reach the launch point on 1260 AD. On the 1270 AD turn, ND should be able to spy on both Jackson and Dye Fields and see the defenses. Depending on the defenses we will chose which one of the two cities to hit. If Lego spots our fleet the previous, they will also have to decide which of the two cities to defend which will likely leave one of the two cities ripe for invasion.

If Jackson is the target, we will have a bomber base built on 1260 AD south-west of Zenophobia. From there will be able to launch 16 bombers (built the two turns after the fleet sails), plus the 12 bombers on our 3 carriers. Thus, a total of 28 bombers will be able to hit Jackson on D-Day, or 16 against Dye Fields.

Btw, the builds have been timed perfectly so that all the transports will be organized into the launch point on time.

Are you going to only take out those 2 Lego picket ships?

          ND sent this:

          Hi Panzer,
please take the Artilery now. Then offer imediadtly peace acceptet. We'll build up our Luxdeals the next turn again to avoid any bugs. We should include another ROP too.
We think it might be better to bulid the üplaned invasion city in the Jungle soon so that GS does not get upset when we pop up a city there short before we actually atack better they get used to the sight sooner than later
We also keep sending you 150G/Turn.
Next turn we'll send you Espionage.
          Greetings Darekill

He wants a city built in the jungle, presumably in the east side of the continent that can be used to invade GS. He wants it to be built soon so that GS doesn't get suspicious later when it's built.

Just got this from Cort Haus:

              Panzer,

Very briefly - We think we need to delay the operation for two turns to get enough Marines ready. Delay the turn a little if you need to discuss it, but do you think you guys can accomodate that?

              Regards,

              Cort

forwarding this to ND, but I think it would be ok.

to ND, forwarding previous message and replying to one from DK:

Do you think a delay would be okay? I just got this from Cort Haus. We in the GoW don't mind a delay, it means we get some more tanks.

Also I'll respond to your other questions:

                Hi,
we have the Intelligence Agency next turn and we try to plant a spy in Legoland.
                What to do with it?
On the invasion turn we need to get 2 coastal cities investigated (forget which ones) and the one with the least resistance we'll invade.

Steal the military plans and send them to you? In which turn Year? We'll inform you about their military as soon as we have a spy there.
How much are the military plans? They might get too expensive to be worth it.

Did you think about having a fighter to do some recon in Lego territory on one of your carriers?
Did Flati send you all the info you needed.
                Do I ask to much?
                Shall I stop?
                Greetings

-building a fighter now, hopefully have 3 or so.
-Flati didn't send any info to me, but I really wouldn't have used it anyways.

                  from GS:

                  Lego navy in GS-Lego Ocean

                  - 3 subs
                  - 6 ironclad (expecting one more up North)
                  - 4 DD (expecting 2 more up North, at most)
                  - 7 BS (looks like their defense force)

What do they have over your side?

(sent reply with 3 ironclad currently. )

                    7 battleships???

I'm thinking they might have quite a fleet on our side, just maybe not visible... (yet)

Still, 16 destroyers should be enough even as a sacrificial force.

oh btw, good news, I have my stuff at home and all I have to do is find the box where the goddarn monitor is (we have like 60 boxes of suff hehe)... then of course there's the little problem of converting 110V stuff in the 220V outlets, I will try and find a converter tonight since I only have two measly 55W converters which are nowhere near strong enough for a monitor...

(damn Euros and their electricity )

So, I hope to have my PC up and running by tomorrow or thursday at the latest. I probably won't have internet until next week but I can copy the save game from the office on a diskette, play at home, and send it early the next day.

sweet. Heard this from Cort Haus:

OK, we sail next turn. D-day is 243
                        (243 = 1260 AD)

edit: is their D-day sooner than ours?? I thought we delayed one turn, making our d-day 1280 AD.

WAIT, we are changing numbers for years past. It goes 1240, 1250, 1255, 1260, etc Note that please MZ. [/b]
