  • Question for the All Seeing, All Knowing, Eye

    Trip,

    Just a concern about GS.
Not about GS per se, but more about how they are gathering their intelligence.
This is not the first time I have had concerns.

Very early in the game, when GoW had the fake war with Vox, on the turn it started, I had Shiber telling me “GS thinks we were having a fake war with Vox”.
I assumed, that someone leaked it.

Some time later, when in chat with GS, there was another situation like that. They hinted that they knew more about our team than they really should.
I asked NYE & Shiber (? I think) directly, if there was someone on our team who was a “spy” and deliberately leaking information to them.
    They said definitely not.

And now, we have the saltpeter issue.
They obviously know where it is, when they really shouldn’t know.
    Again, the information has leaked.

My concern is not with GS.
But if there is someone on some other team that is feeding them this information.
I don’t feel, that this is in the spirit of a demo game.

It’s normal that some people cant hold secrets and spill the beans.
And it can be expected that members will accidentally let intel slip.
And there is always the possibility, that another team is intentionally feeding them information. (Playing both sides)

    This is all fine.
I am more concerned that an individual on some team is deliberately helping GS.
GS may in fact not even know that this person is feeding them information not sanctioned by their team.

Could you please confirm that this is not happening?
That GS is getting all of their intel through valid means.

Again, I don’t suspect GS is cheating.
I just don’t think spies are within the spirit of the game

    Thanks Mate

Also I have a question or rather a request. If GS should try to warp those knights(i don't think you can do it to ships, but thats included too) that were in the north. Please inform them that we could have used an exploit to basically destroy their forces in the south, but didn't. I want them to understand that we have actually weakened our position rather than use such an exploit. Basically what I want them to know that if they do such an offensive exploit, and bringing 12 knights from the north to south would be an offensive use of exploits, the gloves are off. One thing they should remember is that they play first, so fort-all could really hurt them.

I sincerly hope that they don't and the new team leadership seems to be very straightforward. But just in case.

How do you know it's so obvious? Oh, right, you don't.

Don't worry, just as I did with you guys earlier I have my eye out for things. So to speak.

That's all I needed to know.

Some of us have differing views as what is an exploit.

GS/RP got away with warping units.
No one from either team have stated in the public forum that they would not do it again, and in fact, quite a few argued that it was a valid tactic.

Same with perpetual war & war weariness. (An RP tactic threatened against us in the public forum and by PM)

Same with (IMO) having spies in other teams.

I may be psychotic, a troll, an ass, and a pig, but I do not cheat. It is unfair for GS/RP to continue to use exploits while we do not.

Because they have repeatedly fortified STACKS of units on a specific tile that is out of the way, insignificant, and poorly situated for observation. The only thing it has is a Saltpeter resource.

What's irritating is the way they abuse exploits then immediately accuse and threaten others not to use them.

I remember one chat with GS that nye hinted that "sometimes friends talk too much" which was the reason for certain information leaks.

Who here gets a long and chats constantly with GS members? Not me. I am also quite surprised that GS even before the war wanted the territory which has the saltpeter, and that nye said it was for "strategic concerns". I'm sorry but luxes don't seem so damn strategic as saltpeter.

I may be paranoid but I can't help bringing this up.

I'll bet my right nut it's lego.

Remember the incident a few weeks ago with two of their members having an unauthorized chat with GS? Who knows what they may have leaked before.

I agree, btw i had a little unoffical chat with two RPs and a lego member, when i joined the descussion we spoke of easing up the feelings in the PTWDG forum, which is why i made that poem btw.
Anyway, before i stated to conversate much, the others were discussing why we had attacked RP and not ND, they seemed to think we intend to build a FP in the south, rushing it with a GL, that we had since long. i think this is a good, as they at least showed no belif in that we infact had an alliance with ND. :-)

                  Yeah...

I've been trying to feed that impression to GS from day one, back when we were trying to get them to JOIN us.

I can't believe that our pathetic efforts to convince everyone ND and us didn't get along has worked so bloody well. Its hilarious and I really want to see their reactions at the end of the game.

I guess if you feed them Bullsh*t long enough, they begin to like the taste?

That, and we've been consistent with our story amongst all teams and at all times. We're just that evil I suppose.
