  • Why did RP go into anarchy?

We have accomplished a major goal. By taking all these cities, RP was not able to maintain it Army or improvements. I think GS told them they could not afford to continue to fund them to support their military. RP had no choice but to go into Anarchy because there is no unit or maintance costs. They are keeping what they have by staying in anarchy. Kinda Ironic, huh? Their optimal government is Anarchy!

Are we sure they are not just switching governments?

It's sad that we can't help somebody take over. That would be hilarious.

yeah, they might be switching governments... thought of that too. If they are going to monarchy they will be able to support 6 free units IIRC.

I think we should publicly throw our support to Ninot. Prince Ninot the Warmonger candidate for the throne of Spain.

If Ninot wins we will cease all hostilities...

In monarchy, there are 2 free units for every city size 1-6
4 free for all cities size 7-12
I have no idea how many free for size 13+

In Despotism, its 4 free for every city.

I believe that RP has so many units in Pamplona that even if they go to Despotism, they will still loose units/improvements.

My bet is that when the option comes up to choose a new government they will either choose Anarchy again or they will just pick one and revolt right away.

8 free per each city 13+.

I am trying to encourage them to stay in Anarchy by stressing the good points. Among other things they are effectively out of the game, producing nothing but food while they do so. Meanwhile we are mass producing troops to outnumber them.

Currently it is a war of ND/GoW vs GS with a big obstacle of Barbarian units called Roleplay for GS to hide behind.

Thinking along the same lines ...

At what point do we say Roleplay is no longer a threat, and we turn our attention to GS ?

By focusing on one enemy, RP is down to 2 cities. Does Pampalona have to fall before we go offensive against GS ?

Pamplona has to fall. If we go after GS now they/RP will have a chance to regroup behind our lines. It doesn't take a military strategist to figure out this isn't good

Roleplay and GS are a serious threat in the south. The longer we are allowed to utilze our GS to build the greater our chances become. Right now we are outnumbered 10 to 1 or maybe worse in the south. Any chance we get to attack them in the open should be taken.

If we get a shot to attack GS, we should take it, as Roleplay won't know until AFTER their turn. We should be more careful at taking targets of opportunity with Roleplay.
