I was thinking it would be better to start with Barcelona and swing around clockwise taking the five cities of gold and ending with Salami. Even if we took Salami their entire military could counter attack fairly soon with its proximity to the capital. The others are likely to have time for us heal and assimilate.
Possible alteration to this:
If Roleplay was to gift Barcelona to GS then I would say skip it and take the next target clockwise, the one behind it, then Meridia and finally Salamaca.
Reason: GS could conceivably move troops to Barcelona from New Madrid or that ratty little seaport they built. I want to establish cities for us to build a barracks in for troop recuperation and taking this clump would allow that and provide a decent border area to protect it behind.
I would suggest saving $ to potentially rush Pikemen in the south for defensive units.
