Working on the next issue of Glory of News.
Thanks to a continuous inflow of loot and treasure from the pillaging of Espania, we are now able to produce issues in glorious color! Utilizing state of the art multi-scribe technology, we now employ several scribes who specialize in specific colored ink only. Once each scribe goes over the individual issue the colors blend together into a glorious sight! Note that we use lots of red as the primary ingredient, gutted spaniards are in plentiful supply.
The joint GS/Glory of War tactical operation code named "City Swipe" has proven to be extremely successful. The operation was designed to siphon as many Spanish cities as possible without risking the valued lives of our soldiers. In a recent interview with the operation commander, General E. N. Sayne, he commented: "You gotta hand it to those War Chickens, they convinced them Spamish Riceheads to hand over those cities! And them Spamish Peanuts did it with a smile on their face ah tell ya! A smile! All those potential casualties are safe n sound in the main army and willing to risk their lives in the Battles of Torpedo and Pampers which should be caumin' up soon!"
The Members of the Grand Alliance have found the Spanish have their own timetable for ending this war. In addition to the two Spanish cities that willingly switched sides to join the Storm of Gathering Chickens, Santiago appears to have been captured without a fight. Recent interviews with Lords Darekill and Borc bring new insight into the eagerness of the Spanish to join a real nation:
Darekill> Our scouts had given us news of a mighty Spanish fortress at Santiago, but when we got to the city we couldn't find it.
Borc> Turns out that when we asked the locals they acknowledged it had been there, but once hostilites broke out they dismantled as quickly as they could.
Darekill> Said something about "the fortifications spoiling Lord Togas' view of the enemy."
The Grand Alliance of ND, GS, and Gow won a strategic victory today in the war against Imperialist Spain. GS forces announced the capture of Toledo. Considered one the Five Pillars of the Might of Spam, Toledo is considered by many to be the "front door to Pamplona" and should lead to the quick sacking and ravaging of the Spanish Capital. More details to follow.
Feel free to offer articles, I'm going to put it together here where I can go over typos and what not before putting it in the main forum.
