And btw, who the hell leaked information to nye or some other GS member???

Just in case it was just a ruse or something on nye's behalf, but despite our frienship with other members of other teams, I think secrecy is vital here, please don't leak stuff to others no matter how friendly you are to them.

Now, of course, if it was purposely leaked misinformation, I'm all for it

Don't be so rough on MZ, he's from Chile and they may not have a good geography curiculum.

My apologies on the confusion from last week, my mind was surely not fully on this game as I was best man at a friends wedding and had both my dog and my wifes grandmother pass away.

To explain what happened a bit, I had created a thread specifically for our trade discussion, and was checking it constantly. However, for some reason, the discussion had moved back to the main diplomacy thread for your team without my knowledge due to my relative lack of participation. As a result, I never learned that your team had agreed to the 10 turn no trade clause, and I was acting on an alternate plan to get those 10 turns (ie, seeing if you would wait).

This is all a mistake on my part, and I am copying this into my own teams forum as well. Please express my apologies to GS for the confusion that I created, and we look forward to completing the deal as outlined: Chiv for 200 and 10 turns no-trade, lux for lux.

Back to the chat. 2200 GMT could work for me as a start time, but only for the next two weeks. 10:00 GMT would be a better start time for me personally, and I believe Hot_Enamel is normally online around that time as well, though I think the rest of the team would likely be absent from that time. Still, for what little needs to really be done in this chat, it would work fine. This is really more of a friendly chat than the working of isues AFAIK. If 10:00 GMT works for you, what day would be best?

Sorry for the confusion,

I never saw the log of MZ's chat where he got confirmation of the NTA, and was working off the info in the trade thread I had made for this trade...that and I got a little distracted last week as stated.

hmmm... a 15 turn NTC would have been better, but if 10 is the best we can do then we should go for it. This would mean that they can trade chivalry in 30 AD; at least 2-3 turns into the RP campaign. Its better than nothing.

hmm... I don't think I did. My guess is also that it was ND in trying to get a NAP with them.

You know, it was a news article out of NZ that inspired the whole cartoon of MrWIA there...read something that your sheep population had hit an all time low, can't remember exact numbers, but it was something like 25/person...

GS must be told of our concerns...

GS has the largest army
When we give GS Chivalry, they can upgrade to the most powerful army.
Their members (Shiber) have done nothing to appease our concerns that they wont attack GoW when we give them Chivalry.
GS members (Shiber) have pretty much told us they will get involved if a war breaks out on Bob.

Asking for a NAP is not an unreasonable request.

And re the NYE offer

means nothing, if we start the war..... which of course, we are doing.

And finally....I think it possibly our right to question them about the "leak"
I assume that they (as we would) not be interested in gaining information from spies in other team forums. We should ask NYE, unnofficially, if they can tell us if they got the information from an active or a non-active GoW member. If its a non-active GoW member...then we should be told, and be allowed to ban them.

I have one thing to say on all this confusion, actually.

I hereby request that if anyone discusses thing with GS they PM me a transcript of the discussion. I was not confused until both Panzer and MZ ended up getting into chats with various GS members. This is all fine and good, but if I am going to be the only official responder to them, I absolutely need be aware of it all.

I suspect ND is the culprit on the leak. This is just a feeling. Also NO MATTER WHAT WE SHOULD NEVER GIVE GS AN IDEA WE INTEND ULTIMATELY TO TAKE ND. Nd would then prempt this and attack. We can and should fan the flames of a rp/gow vs ND war to them to throw rp off. But after we should be silent, what they hear nd hears I suspect. I think they dislike rp personally too so that isn't an issue. HE is correct on pinting out the loopwhole in the NAP, just see if we can remove the second start in the nap, then it is good.

I always post every game relevent discussion with GS personnel in the most relevent thread, usually in the FAC threads, but sometimes in the special trade threads.

The problem is that sometimes people on other teams "jump" on you suddenly in the chat. This chat was begun by nye and then a few minutes later zeit got online and asked me about the chivalry deal, that's when I brought them both into the #GoW_CoFA room for a more formal affair. I'd love it if only UnO dealed with them as it would make just one person responsible and avoid confusion but I can't just tell them, "sorry, our ambassador isn't here, talk to us later"

Especially considering I wanted to bring the whole NAP and NTC deals into the negotiation, I think this chat ended remarkably well.
