Do wedelay and sell RP chivalry or go now and try to get a NTA from GS?

3rd option..

Delay Chiv now by setting research to 0%
(therefore we cant trade to anyone...RP wont become suspicious)

Delay the war if ND agrees... the log indicates this is their preference.

My arguement to delay comes down to this. Attacks must have overwhelming advanatge at a localized point. With time we can create such a force with a short delay.

The issue is that we need to get Chivalry approx. 5 turns before we attack. If ND agrees to this, it might be the best answer however.

But, we will have produced more horsemen that will need upgrading, then again, we will have more money from going at 0% for a few turns.

If a delay can net us 3-4 extra Riders, I say delay. ND will be happy about it, I can assure you.

We have been discussing your comment that we delay the war for a few turns.

We will only have 9 riders available, and are considering stopping research
for a couple of rounds.

If we did this, would it disrupt your plans ?

I can only speak for myself since i have not discussed this with the three other consuls but i think it will be acceptable but only if you don't give the tech away too soon especialy not to spain. The last thing we need is spanisch Knights. they coud eat up our defenses with ease. If you would delay the research for four or five turns then we would be able to add another 50 g to our offer since we are realy interested not to see chivalry in spanish hands too soon.

ok, it looks like delaying is the best course of action.

We'll have to inform GS, though, that we are delaying. They have said many times that it is not an essential tech for them, so I don't think it will be a problem.

Legoland trade won't happen for a few turns after we originally would have gotten chivalry, so I don't think it will be a problem.
