    Orders here!

    Ghengis, it looks like we need to fufull the vox commitment now (as per the chat so far). Remember the spearman you moved out of Port Isolation? We will need that.

    Will post my orders later.

    We need to establish an embassy with vox to get an RoP. MoI approves the 30 odd gold it takes to do so. Vox will send 15 gold to cover for 1/2 the expenses (next turn).

      I still don't understand why the spearman was moved over there instead of the Medieval Infantry that was not the original plan.

        New thought, technically we are at war with GS, if we made Peace and parked our Pikemen on the tiles in front of Eliopolis GS would have to declare war on us to attack Vox.

        If we had some trade agreement going on might that make GS a little more reluctant to attack?

          I think the problem is that GS has 4-5 galleys at that point. (From memory of the pic that MZ posted)

          They could blockade or even sink our galley.

          I'd prefer our units were used as a peaceful land blockade.

              Recomendation:
              We no longer need miltary police. Lets move some of our Pikes to the front line.

              ie Imperial City is safe...we will see an attack coming.
              Move its Pike to The Hill, in case ND decides to double cross us.

                That's a good plan, I forgot about the fact that Military Police didn't work in Republic.

                  Because the midievel infantries were all in the Western part of the empire, having just recently been upgraded.

                  Plus, spearmen cost less than infs.

                    The Infantry were only two turns behind the Pikemen. Besides those Infantry are regular and the Pikes are Veterans. No one said we had to send our best units to help Vox, just four units.

                    Also, there is a good chance those four units will never see Voxia, they may get sunk by GS. I don't really want our four best defenders getting sunk. I's rather see regular Infantry swim than armored Pikemen.

                      we're landing on the turn that we start out, Ghengis.

                      Land the units S of Whittlich.

                      The spearman currently can't be taken this trip, since it was moved out of the city.

                      You say they were 2 turns behind the pikes?? I don't recall that, so I'm looking at some saves:

                      490bc: Still warriors; moving to Camp Concord to upgrade.

                      450bc: All in Camp Concord; this was the turn I found out we don't have Iron from ND.

                      430bc: ND sends iron, we upgrade.

                      410bc: spearman is 5 turns ahead of the med infs.

                      Currently, the conscript med inf is near drednoughtica. He won't make it to Port Isolation in time for the boat.

                        Of course they won't make it now, they were stopped from their journey to Port Isolation. We're committed to sending our four best defensive units to the sea and there are no other options.

                          Republic worker 2 mines.

                          Other Suggestions
                          There is medievel infantry defending Camp Cod and Macao. I suggest trading Macao's inf for Drednoughtica's pike so there is more defence along the border.
                          Sir Enamel can leave Macao now for Dred., I just put him in there for defence when Macao was founded.

                            I know, but I'm wondering when they were 2 turns behind the pikes? Thats why I looked at previous turns.
