  • 610 BC opening screenshot

Posted for ease of reference and for people having trouble getting the pic. It's in a new thread so that the proper turnthread doesn't have to deal with the big load times of this pic.

Please keep all discussion in the proper thread.

If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

          Added some info

Note, I rushed two catapults as I think Nathan did, I just hope I got the right cities.

If anyone catches a mistake, please edit the correct info here

          - the 'going back' shold be for the VoX galley 8 8 8.
(I was going to move our 2 galley to join the first one but stopped to capture the immortals on the mountain, then I mistook it for the Vox one)
We only have 2 galleys in total on the east coast

-The cat is rushed in WhirlWind and NOT in Monsoon

The galley should move 1, actually. That blocks the Voxian galley (they can't traverse sea tiles) and forces them either to attack or withdraw.

Hey, you edited out my comment on the cat rushed in WW instead of Monsoon!

BTW, without going into further discussion as where to move to, but the galley can't block all sea tiles, Vox will be able to pass anyway...

Hmm... actually if the northern galley moves 1 from its position in the screenie, and the second one (instead of joining it there) moves 8, 7, 7, we can block them, can't we?

yes, if we would have movement points left in galley #1. But we haven't, so it will stay where it is now. galley #2 (as can be seen in the screenie) has moved one tile to show the Voxian reinforcements... it only has 3 MP left

I did the exact same thing when I first saw the screenie

Well, either we both have great minds, or mediocre ones. They're alike, anyway.

In the original save, the galleys don't have any movement left (I think)
