    Cool. Nathan still has to get this done though. He has spent much of the last 24 hours mothering it. We can't hold him hostage much longer.

    You're a trooper, Nathan.

    • Again, and I'm sorry to bother you with this again DeepO, but is there any chance in hell hell Arashi could flip to Vox?
      Safe to say to if that were to happen, it would set us back just a tiny little bit...

        Zero. They have no cultural influence in the area, and it is entirely our own pop.

        Someone may correct me, but I've never seen a flip in such circumstances, and if I had, I would not be here playing this game, or any other game of Civ 3 either for that matter.

        If they had an IA though... Propaganda could enter into it.

        • For a city to flip, there have to be either foreign nationals or foreign culture controlling part of the city's 21-tile radius. So we are in no danger of having any of our cities flip at present.

          By the way, in case anyone misses it in the other thread, I sent the turn on a while ago.

            • I guess Vox hasn't reconnected that iron?

              • BTW. I suspect that Vox will go ape-sh*t when they see F11 and EotS at size 12. Does F11 display differently for others? Can they see Hurricane at 11? I hope so. It would add to their haste.

                There is a very good chance they will proceed on as straight a path as possible right to EotS.

                  I would say not. I'm not sure what led Alva to think they did. The shots? Is there a flaw? Can we line them up from consecutive turns?

                  • The sudden growth of EotS has got to be something of a shock to the other teams, and most especially to Vox. Our capital as big as their three biggest cities combined? And if we're doing it there, where else might we be doing it?

                    No, other teams won't see Hurricane on their F11 displays; at least not for a very, very long time. Culture dominates the issue of what cities show up where on that display, and Hurricane hasn't had the Great Lighthouse long enough to accumulate much culture. (In any case, the Great Lighthouse is no more valuable than a temple in cultural terms.)

                    • I just had another thought on things strategic. If Monsoon grows to size 2, it's a lot more tempting target for Vox, and I'm not so sure that would be a bad thing at this particular point.

                        Just double-checked and yeah, you're right.

                        • I don't think I ever had a size 12 city at this stage, let alone 2

                          • Maybe another thing to keep track off

                            City sizes:
                            The voice = 3
                            Wittlich City = 4
                            Beta by the sea = 1
                            Harry's hideout = 2
                            Eliopolis = 4
                            Dissidentville = 1

                            I don't have any previous saves, so if anyone has and is willing to go through them
                            Could be helpfull to keep track of whipping and troop arrival (placement)

                              We could use it as a lure and disband it.

                              • I don't think they are going to risk their army for something that small. They could very come of their high ground to hit EOTS, but I don't see it happen otherwise.
