  • Whats the story with that Vox-Bob War?

I've been absent for a few days and noticed some threads on the main page about Vox landing Immortals and a settler on Bob, and then war being declared or something? Whats going on here? Is there actually a war? Is it 3 vs 1, or just GoW and ND v Vox?

What are the implications for GS? I don't care if the war would just be to kick Vox off Bob, but if they bring it to our continent...

Pretty much all we know is from these threads, which I recommend to read:

I saw those threads and was hoping there was more that I was missing. The lack of intelligence piqued my curiosity.

All I catched is, they landed a settler, a spearman and 2 immortals to settle. Don't know any more, and AFAIK there was no diplomacy with Vox or any civ on Bob about this matter.

GF wrote an interesting PM, see the GoW contact log.

Thank-you for your arguments Nathan. Your Voxian neighbours appreciate the moral and intellectual support. But it is now a moot point - and agreement has been reached - the city 'sold' - and all but one of our troops have left the continent, and he will do so next turn.
What uneventful wars this game has seen... We need to be careful now, Vox has a few Immortals and nothing to do with them.

I'm glad to hear that, we will offer you a peac agreement the next turn then. Though i wonder why GoW did this without telling their allies.
Must be hard to divide a city 3 ways.

I don't really understand why RP joined in anyway. It should have been in their interest to have a small civ grabbing land from ND and GoW.

Probably because RP has their own vast expanses of unsettled territory still... and if ND and GoW can't expand away from them, they'd expand towards them.

I wonder what ND will do. If my Iron deprived ally pulled a trick like that...

I guess this war has ended, Vox has apparently sold the city to GoW. for what? Probably have to offer tribute to the other civs there as well. Which means.....guard the borders with Vox.

OTOH, their GA has not yet been triggered, which will mean a lot when we finally do take them out, much fewer units.
