Hey, is this correct, BTW? didn't Vox got math from ND, and HBR from GoW?

In mirc, there is a 'logs' folder , you can even adjust the buffer size.

But since Shiber is the our IRC specialist, I'm sure he will be able to fill in the details.

      HBR from GoW?
That's how I remember it too, but eugh

Aha... Alva, you're right. When messing with the logs, I changed the place of the log folder... but it seems it only starts one of those when joining a new channel. I haven't logged the actual conversation (I was already present in the channel before starting to mess with my options), but i did log another, smaller join to a wrong channel.

        Next time I'll come prepared

So, are we going to have a follow-up chat?
Another question: have we decided yet on the matter of swapping up-to-date minimaps with Legoland?

We will get a follow up, but not soon... there really is not that much to discuss with these guys. I hope they'll remember, and tell us when their first galley is baptized, and I suggest that once we learn of MM, or that some other team has MM, we tell them...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but technically, wouldn't it be possible to meet up with Lego if the shortest route between Lego's continent and ours would consist of 7 untraversable tiles or less?
I mean, suppose that we trade current minimaps with Lego, and find out, by measuring pixels, that at the closest point, our two continents have 7 untraversable tiles between them, like this: (coastal tiles = C, sea/ocean = X)
              CXXXXXXXC
If we embarked from the left coast tile and moved three tiles into the Xs, and Lego did the same from their side, they could get a glimpse of our galley and make contact with us. Is that correct?
If so, maybe we should see if they'd be willing to trade current minimaps.
              What do you think?

Only if neither galley sunk at the end of it's movement - which is an unlikely course of events.

galley's sink at the start of the turn, not the end of one. So yes, that might work, at the expense of 2 galleys

Oh, I forgot that galleys sink at the end of your turn and not at the beginning of your next turn.

                    Edit: x-posted with DeepO.

DeepO: really? Are you 100% sure of that? I admit it's been a while since I played, and I could easily be wrong, but.....

well... 100% sure is a lot, certainly as my experience comes from SP, and not MP. But I'm positive I saw it happening, one of my boats ended on a ocean tile, but a enemy boat passed by, contacting me. Once my turn started, my boat sank.

If nobody else has tested it by the time I get home tonight I'll create a hotseat game and try this out in MP. It'd be nice to know for sure one way or the other.

IIRC this happened once in the C3DG. A ferry from Uber Isle (an island close to our capital but separated by several sea tiles) sunk at the beginning of a turn.

Oh crap, I forgot ... sorry, my bad.

I bet I was right, though.
