    I stand behind Arrian's words.
Sir Ralph, I'm sure you'll make an excellent ambassador!

And the truth isn't what you want to see,
Close your eyes, and let music set you free..."

Hey hey hey!, what about the (interim) chief diplo's approval?

Well, of course Sir Ralph will make an excellent ambassador- and hopefuly the assigned one (alva) doesn't mind that Sir Ralph takes his post. If not, than just go ahead- send a message to Borc (maybe in their site as well) announcing yourself and all that-and make us proud.

Also- isn't this just great all the teams are buying the contacts with us from Vox?

I guess research will be even faster in the near future- until the conflicts break and while everyone deals with everyone- it is going to be hectic, and we should decide on whom we focus and who we rather play "hard to get" with. RPG and ND can both be profitable to us, perhaps for the long term as well, but soon GoW and LI will have contacts with us as well, we'll have ample of option then. Do we want to push RPG a bit farther towards commiting themselves to Lit. for CoL?
I think we should, in this uncertain world, there is nothing better to grip on than a trusty trade partner (with the prospect of more than that). Perhaps as a token of goodwill (to compensate RPG for the cost of contact with us) we can send them some gold (10 or so), it might help them make their minds...

zeit, I was thinking on that same deal, but wanted to wait a little. We still have time to arrange it, and waiting until after approval of the Codex would be good, I think. It will certainly ease negotiations between us and RPG...

First, I like to get Ninot up to speed, last message he answered that he was not going to bother answering my questions at that time, if he doesn't get back to me soon, I plan on asking him again. RPG, just as Lego, seem to be having transition problems, which I think come from both being busy, and not spending enough attention on their diplo contacts. It is a hectic time for everyone, with everyone meeting, and the tension between Lux and ND, so the teams that are holding elections now are disadvantaged.

You are right about transition problems- this seems to plague other teams seriously- even Panzer32 and UnOthOdOx didn't respond for quite some time, and an active session of talks with Vox takes place only when Beta or Jon take their time to give us some attention.

I'm pretty suprised the other teams aren't taking diplomacy more seriously, like they take trash talking in the main board, for example....

              Ok, playing the turn.

Btw, the thread has a crap name (just like the previous had), it's not really 1670BC, but 1700BC. Taking this in account now.

              First the news:

              - We have contact with Roleplay. No techs to trade them, as expected.
              - We already discovered Writing this turn.

Exactly what I'd hoped would happen with Writing.

                      Army compared with Roleplay: average
                      Army compared with Vox: strong

Gifting Writing to Vox, and setting research to CoL at 100%. Ready in 12 turns.

I send an extra pack of screenshots today, coming in a few minutes.
