Why aren't Ouch and the Warrior above Cyclone moving?
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

I added military orders for Zonk to escort the settler unless barbarians threaten Cyclone and for Slash to move south. (Our generals are, of course, welcome to change the orders if they want to.) Ouch is staying put on the assumption that Willy will want to return to his lookout position now that the barbs are dealt with.

What's our next destination in research? Is it MM?
It would be nice to have galleys. We could use them to explore both Vox's coasts and Lux's coasts, and verify what Vox has been telling us. Plus, we'll have information about the close territory of both Vox and Lux, while they will have none such information on our territory (until they build galleys), thus escalating our position in these 3-way relations ("we know where you live so you better do as we say").

I think MM would be a very good plan, for both Vox and us. The sooner the contacts are made, the cheaper the tech gets.

You are the general, or at least one of them. I'm filling the chapters with the obvious. You are always welcome, and by the thread's idea even requested, to fill in your further orders.

Is it, btw, worth to move Zonk? If we move Slash before the settler the next 2 turns, there's nothing about the settlers way, what we wouldn't monitor.

The two possibilities I like are either to beeline for Republic or to try for the Great Library. If we REX at a maximum pace, with Vox researching Philosophy while we go for Code of Laws, we might actually be first to Republic. If we go for the Great Library, having one civ research Map Making while the other does Literature would probably be the right move.

If by some odd chance there are barbarians next to the city site just on the far side of the hill from the settler, it would be useful for Zonk to be able to escort the settler that last move onto the city site. Otherwise, Zonk can start back to Cyclone.

                    Kewl!
Don't place the pieces this turn. We still need to discuss what kind of palace we want (which theme, and pure or mixed themes).

I placed the bottom. It's the same everywhere.

Screenshots are a unzoomed view (large), f11 and power today.

I know nothing, what would be less important, and will abstain in that discussion.

Well, the palace thing is just what it's supposed to be - a source of pride for the player, and nothing more.
I've heard some people say that it's a way to feel how much your citizens are satisfied with you, but it's really just an ego boost.
But who cares, it's just another fun part of the game.
