As expected, we got our second straight turn of disease and EotS is now at pop 3 with zero food surplus.

Change of plans: I'm going to go ahead and give EotS the benefit of the first chop. We currently have eleven shields toward our new settler. Over the next four turns, between now and the time we hit size 5, we'll get another 12, so add 10 from the chop and we'll build our settler the moment we hit size 5 with only three shields wasted. Otherwise, we'd end up with our settler two turns later and have two more wasted shields in the process. And I want to get our horse city up and running! (Note that if we use the second chop for the barracks, it will still be finished "on schedule" in terms of what would be expected with one chop.)

Sorry about the sudden change of plans, but I did clear it with the chief economist. If anyone has any comments or objections, I hope you're online and watching.

        Team Scores:

        67 (+1) Gathering Storm
        79 (+2) Demogyptica
        66 (+1) Glory of War
        73 (+2) Role Play
        63 (+0) Vox Controli
        60 (+1) Lux Invicta
        77 (+1) Legoland

Lego finally broke its streak of +2's.

          Sounds good to me..

Although unfortunate, things like this will hapen (to everyone)
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

We have our third city! For the moment, I'm having Cyclone start on a worker and work the game forest, with plans to switch to the wheat tile for the balance of the time until it grows in population. That gets us our worker as quickly as possible (since EotS can't produce a worker for it for a long time). Note: the reason for working the fur forest one turn is that 7x3=21, so we waste a shield if we don't work a higher-production, lower-food tile for one turn. (I should have thought to include the order for this in my orders for this turn.) I fortified Zonk in Cyclone for this turn, but he'll probably want to head back north next turn to pick up our next settler.

I checked things out, and it looks like Grog's field of vision is better than I'd realized. Vox won't be sneaking anything past him for anything resembling the near future - they'd need both the city and some jungle roads on the far side - so Slash can continue his survey of our western coast.

              Another sea tile uncovered.

Any news on the F11 screen?

Turn sent, screenshots sent. On F11, we're on top in GNP, on the bottom in manufactured goods, and in the middle in productivity.

Hmm, still only 4th in landarea...I expected to be higher up(even with our city's closely put together)

Perhaps we should contact Vox and notify them that the second tier of the tech trade deal will take place in two turns.

I'm sure we'll be second or first after we produce the next settler from EotS.

Hmm, should we? Maybe just offering it in-game is enough. Let's not give them to much time to think about it.

Hmm.. just answered this in the Vox comments thread. No, not yet... we don't need to give them a precise idea when our research ends... as long as we don't need it, stall it for a few turns.

What needs to be decided, though, is what to research next!

Should we go for map making, build a galley and find the other civs / scout Vox's shores?

Next up is Writing; whatever we choose beyond that, Writing will be a prerequisite.
