Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
The Wheel researched. What to research next? I'd propose Warrior Code, but others might object. We have 2 gold and are currently running 1 deficit. Something will have to change, or we shall found our 2nd city soon. We're feeding 7 units now.
Settler ready in 1 turn by shields and 2 turns by food, even if setting both citizens to floodplains. I would set one on floodplains and leave the other at the furs, because he makes more gold there, although he wastes shields bigtime.
Where to settle second city?
a) At the mouth of the river, NE-E-E from EotS?
b) NW of it, NE-NE-E from EotS?
Name proposal: Hurricane. Next cities could be Typhoon and Tornado.
Exploring warriors should proceed N. Gronk goes to EotS and "W with no name" approaches the new city site, where ever it will be. I'd rename him. What about "Ouch"? Or "Smash", "Crush" or "Crack"?
Last question: I'm not familiar with NYEs number code. What means "moving 9-9" and similar? Apparently, it's not the directions on the clock. So what does it mean?
I'm taking time for this turn. We still have NYEs green hours, it doesn't matter much.
Directions: the numbers stand for the digits on the numpad keys, e.g. 9 equals NE.
City: I'm thinking #1, at the mouth of the river. IMHO we can't have one city hog all the mountain tiles, especially since we're not building wonders anytime soon. IMHO the next city should be in the wheat area to the south, to act as a settler pump, and the next one - in the gold area, probably.
Name for the city: I think your proposal is excellent Sir Ralph! We should definitely keep to the storm theme.
Tech: that's an excellent question. I'd like to hear more opinions before I cast my vote.

cities:
popped settler = 6-6-8
build settler = 2-2-1 (both counted from EotS)
both are IIRC
D*amned that save came back quickly...
can we still see their warrior?

We have only one source of horses, SW-SW-W (or 1-1-4) from EotS.
Well, at least we have one, how many turns, before EotS 'expands' again?

So we either need a temple in EotS or the next settle (not this one) has to go to site 7 (DeepO second map)
1-1-1-4

I'm up to play the turn 6pm my time (noon Apolyton time, EST). At this time, even the Americans should be awake. Hope the hangover isn't that bad. I have none, had only 2 glasses of champain yesterday.
Pottery makes sense, and the settler moves 3 towards both sites, so there's one turn more time to decide.

Grog sees 2(!) Voxian warriors. There seems to be a 2 tiles wide isthmus of shielded grassland. This should be a good place for a blockade.
Sliders to 5.5.0, bilance breaking even. It's better to keep the 2 gold as reserve, or else we could get in trouble if we stumble in a hut with a warrior. We can shell them out later, if we want. Pottery ready in 16 turns, but this is about to change after we built the 2 cities.
In EotS one citizen moving to irrigated floodplains. This leaves the settler ready in 1 turns by shields (2 shields left, we make 3/turn) and 2 turns by food (6 left, we make 3/turn). Putting the 2nd citizen on floodplains woudld gain nothing, 3 food surplus, 1 shield per turn, but less gold. So it's better to waste the shields. Oh well.
