  • CFCS - Citizens For a Coffee Shop

Roleplay seems to have evolved rapidly in the past week. If we want that to continue, I suggest that we start a 'Coffee Shop thread'.
In order to push that initiative ahead, I have started the CFCS (no allusion to CivFanatics intended) movement - Citizens For a Coffee Shop.
I say we can't go on roleplaying in the streets! We need a more orderly place where we can tell our tales and share our adventures. Besides, the streets are getting chilly and I'd really appreciate a nice warm place which serves nice warm cups of coffee, and a coffee shop is just it.
So, if we're going to build a coffee shop then we first have to decide on what to call it (or we could just pick the generic 'Apolytonian Coffee Shop' name), where to build it and who should build it. Any ideas?

Coffeeshops? Build them in Holland... maybe Antwerp could do too, there are quite a few of them already, isn't it, Alva?

Seriously: I don't know. I like to read the roleplaying things, but when it comes to play a role myself, I'm terrible. I wish you good luck with your tales, I'll enjoy reading them.

      hmm, what?

Nah, not my thing. I tried just about anything, but that doesn't do the trick for me.

Don't we have a rollplay thread allready?

Oops... I just saw I implied the wrong message here... it's just that I know of a couple of coffeeshops in Antwerp, I didn't want to say I expect you visiting them. Besides, the joke is getting old, I wish the rest of the world could be normal and call a cafetaria a cafetaria, instead of a coffeeshop

Don't even know, if there are any in Antwerp, are you sure? It's easy enough to get hold of anyway

No need for the , didn't think you were ...
Besides, it's legal (well sort of )

Do you often come to Antwerp? It woold be kind of to meet an fellow Apolytian

Oopsie. This was meant to go in the Civ3DG forum. Oh, the embarrassment.
However, we can open another coffee shop here if anyone's interested.

It's been 2 years or so since I visited during the day, but I sometimes go to Café d'Anvers, or some other party.

Because I can't drive anymore, my mobility is low... and the friends I had in Antwerp all moved. One of them is now living in my house, he saw the light and migrated to Leuven I think Antwerp is a fun place to live, and if I could travel easier, I would visit more often. It's one of Belgium's cities I know the least about.

I have never even been to Leuven
                no car here either

It's been quite awhile since I've been to Café Anvers too, hmm the goold old days

Still, the offer stands. (and if you need a place to stay for the night, the sofa is more then big enough )

Well, it's not just me missing a car, but after I had an accident with my motorcycle, I can't drive anymore... my right shoulder is paralysed (and part of my arm as well).

But you never have been to Leuven? how come? It's one of the best cities, if you're not swamped with all the students

Don't really know why, Been to Mechelen on several occasions, my ex-gf is from around there (Keerbergen). Somehow I just never did

Allmost would started to work there though (the new Novotel ), but I left the group(Accord), so that's not gonna happen either.

I read that thread on the Candle'bre forum, where you talked about it. Will it ever improve? They are using some incredible new techniques at the moment.

Nah... forget about improving. They only thing that could help me know is that they learn how to regenerate neurons inside a body, which is not going to happen in our lifetime. But it's more of a hindrence now, not really a problem anymore. You really get used to it

Maybe we should organize a Belgian Cross Country party soon, so we can invite some of the other members as well
