    More to the point, since it isn't clear from Spiffor's template, we can define the following for any MP game...

    Name: [Leader Name, not me]
    Formal: [Civ name in Diplomacy]
    Noun: [Civ name in other Displays]
    Adjective: [I only found it in the cutural advisor 'the [i]Adjective[i/] people...
    Title: [Leader's title in Diplomacy]

    for instance the Ottomans are:
    Name: Osman
    Formal: Ottomans(?)
    Noun: Ottomans
    Adjective: Ottoman
    Title: Sultan

    I would propose:
    Name: Rider
    Formal: Gathering Storm
    Noun: Gathering Storm
    Adjective: Raging
    Title: ?

    I do not know what we want to use for title, outside of this forum.

      Why not stick with Poobah for the leader's title? Then our people can celebrate "We love the Poobah's day." The question then becomes, what is the name of our Poobah. Maybe Poobah Thunderhead? (If we had a resident artist, a cloud with a face in it might make an interesting "leader picture" to go with that, or maybe I'm just in a bit too much of a silly mood right now.)

      Regarding the adjective, it would presumably be used for things like "Ottoman worker" or "Ottoman city." The best I can come up with on short notice is "Stormian," but I'll let you know if I come up with better.

      So we would have:

      Civ : Egypt
      Name of Civ : Gathering Storm
      Noun : Gathering Storm
      Adjective : Stormian (?)
      Title of the leader : Poobah
      Name of the leader : Thunderhead (?)
      Colour : German Blue

        How about

        Leader Name: 'Thunderous' or 'Elementus'
        Formal: Gathering Storm
        Noun: Gathering Storm
        Adjective (name of people): Tempest(s)
        Leader Title: Grand Poobah
        Former Supreme Military Commander of the Democratic Apolyton States, Term 8
        Former Chairman of Apolyton Labor Party

          "Riders" on the "(gathering)Storm" sounds fine by me.

          Seems apropriate enough

            It's almost too bad we aren't playing China. Riders on the Storm indeed. Heh.

            Ok, ok...

            Leader Name: Rider
            Formal: Gathering Storm
            Noun: Gathering Storm
            Adjective: Tempestous

            Alternative Leader name: Stormbringer

            Poobah is more of a "amongst ourselves" leader name, don't you think?

              I like Stormbringer as a leader name.

              Tempestuous war chariots, Tempestuous cavalry, Tempestuous cities, etc? Not bad.

                  For title, does anyone mind if we use Chief?

                  Chief Stormbringer of Gathering Storm...

                      I'd really like to see our people called Tempests.

                      I can hear it now

                      "Sound the alarm! Chief Stormbringer and his Tempest armies are here! Run for your lives!"

                      ooh that sounds cool.

                      Arrian that would have been too much if we were Riders on the Gathering Storm. Jim Morrison would be rolling in his grave (if he's even dead at all!).

                      uh oh the Doors came on to my mp3 playlist just as I said that....woah....

                            ManicStarSeed, I think you're missing the point of the adjective.

                            England -> English
                            France -> French
                            Japan -> Japanese
                            Russia -> Russian

                            Tempestuous works (at least more or less) because a tempest is a type of storm and "tempestuous" can be used (misused?) to refer to something belonging to a tempest. Stormian would be more directly tied to our actual name. But while storms can cause tumult, they are merely one of a number of things that can, so there's nothing about "tumultuous" that really signifies something as belonging to or being part of Gathering Storm.

                              Yeah, You are right. I was just brainstorming...hehe there is a pun in that....

                              Stormian would make the most sense in this case. I think we should bite the bullet and use it.
