More of those! I have a female Korean co-worker and may be able to gather some points (j/k).

      Merry Christmas.

        "UMMA!!" (= mommy! )

Funny how this word is universally the same.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

FP, I thought that meant something like "Hi, hope things are well."

It's what restaurant maitre'de's say when I eat Korean here in NYC.
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

T-man I think you are mixing two things here, I think what they are saying is:
"Hi, the dog is almost ready to be served"

            Edit: forgot a word (saying)

In that case I think you're probably right. I'll try it out on someone and see what happens....

Being PMed to most team members:

"I've been out for bit... RL stuff. But I'm back, and more obsessed with the PTWDG than ever!!

Gathering Storm has been a bit quiet of late... but you'll be happy to know that DeepO, Cort Haus, Arrian, sleepy, and others, have been keeping after things quite well. Once again, for a supposedly warmongerish team, the economics branch has performed superbly.

But now, our only chance, war, is upon us.

Now is the time, across things military and diplomatic, that we need our best and brightest to answer the call... GATHERING STORM!! "

What a pain... there should be a 'Broadcast to forum members' function.

                    Now, where's the war?

Good. I already hung a portrait of vondrack at my wall, with horns, claws, a tail and a hoof, and use it as dart board.

Hey, guys, including the stalwarts and also those who might be re-visiting...

I just want to say, I've had a really tough year. Not for general publication, but work has been a *****, I nearly had to do bankruptcy, my psoriasis went beyond liveability, my mother and grandmother both died... it's been pretty much a nightmare.

And then my main computer melted down!!

I'm pushing through. My point is: I wouldn't state the above anywhere but with my best friends and *here*. You lot... damn, don't know what to say, but I can't wait to meet you all in RL, someday.

As I dig out, I'm pretty psyched about the PTWDG of all things... facing insurmountable odds, and all that. I don;t know how soon I'll be re-surfacing at AU and in the general fora, but, in the meantime, this has got me pumped.

So, I just thought you all should know what's been going on, and that my re-surfacing over the last week or so has had a reason. After all the time we've invested... and more than just time... this game and team and interaction is important to me in a lot of ways.

Heavy duty stuff. I told some of this to Arrian earlier this week... as I said to him: See ya on Lego!!
