Damn didnt even have the chanse of voting in the civ poll, but thats democracy, if you miss the election day, then theres nothing to do. If you cant hack in and rig the elections
Anyway nice to be here and looking forward to The Game.

Just out of curiosity, what would have been your choices in the poll?

Hm, lets see, the Americans would have been my 1st choise because of they are both Expansionist and Industrious, even tho the game is very likely to be over before their UU comes around, but hey, theres always leaders to pop and wonders to build with them to trigger GA (i'm overconfident hehe)
Expansionist civs = very likely to have rather nice tech lead on the non-exp ones. Humans do not trade good techs away so easy as the AI.
Industrious = i prefer them because of they can build the supply lines for early war so much faster and with less amount of workers. Plus ofcourse you'll build/grow faster in the beginning than others because you'll have those improvements in half time.
Iroquois would have been my 2nd choise, because they too have the expansionist trait, from my PTW multiplaying experience so far, the expansionist civs have always been on the upper hand early on.
And the MW is ok, even tho not the best UU, but a handy tool for early warmongering.
3rd would propably have been the Aztecs. theyre almost like expansionist because of jaguars.
the Zulu would also have been very good option, 1/2/2 Impi and expansionist makes them a worthy opponent. But that choise wasnt in the poll at all, so i wont give them points.
At the moment we can use the excuse, that there are other teams with less members. That we would like to see the teams level out, before we start on taking new members.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

A. I think we should be selective in accepting new members from here on out. As discussed before, we will need them from time to time, and we still have the last spot to fill since TPR went to the RP team.
B. I do not think we should hide this fact.
C. The situation with flash came about because I did not feel I had the ground to stand on to say anything other than what I said when I replied to his PM. Yes he sent me a PM just after he posted. 'OK, let me in now.' (paraphrased). My reply to him was intended to get him to move on and not bother us. Which he did for the most part.

I understand that there were very valid reasons for not letting Flash join the team. And I further respect that NYE wants to have the final say on who joins and who doesn't. That's cool, we made him Prez because we trust his judgement.
Maybe I should stop reading the main DemoGame forum.... I thought the Trash Talking we had at the start was very amusing and light-hearted on all sides. It was also great fun.
However, things have turned nasty recently and if I see one more little **** make some snide comment about us (which I, irrationally, take personally) I might say something stupid. Best to back off and ignore it all, I think.
This is why I'm not in the Diplo school.
