Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I'd like to try and play this game out without nukes. That would not have been so anticlimatic.
I'm game for another DG if you are. Oh, and who much for the "Turn coat" computer nye? Priceless, I would suspect, at least to us

And as nye told me earlier, it is the journey that counts, and I am happy that I got to experience at least a part of it. Thank you again for letting me join
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

You've done as well or better than many members of the team. Don't thank us. Thank you.

I would like to say a personal thank you to everyone who joined this team and got stuck in.
Way back when it was Sir Ralph and I wanting a team and having nothing much more than Trashing Trip's Ass to justify it.
A few people responded. OPD, alva, and fp would be early stalwarts.
Then, somewhere along the way the nature of the team changed. I can only thank Sir Ralph, alva, and fp for the betterment. They sent out the messages calling Nathan, DeepO, Aeson, and others to the colours.
CH, Sleepy, Krill, Randolph, MSS, Shiber, zeit, Arrian, Dominae, Conqueror, Meshelic... these people were the glue that helped bind us together at various times.
Then there is Theseus. He is a special case, and I hope that we can all hope that Amy copes well with him. I still owe her a pennant, I believe.
And a special thank you to vmxa1, for being so patient. I do not know how I overlooked his request to join the team for so long. I can only suppose that my oversight cost us dearly for missing his participation for too long.
I would like to mention Arrian a second time. We have not seen nor heard from him in some months. I am sure that all who read this will join me in heartfelt wishes for Arrian's happiness and well being, no matter what path he may be embarked upon.
And remember, the Storm will gather again. Don't wait for me. You do not need my permission to kick someone's ass!

The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.
I haven't shown up here for a while, mainly because due to my dislike of Conquests I almost completely ceased to play Civ3 more than a year ago and thus, directed my interest toward other games. But I never ceased to lurk, at least now and then.
Even though the game is lost for us, which was foreseeable after our defeat in the Bobian war, you all performed very well and made the best out of it. The declaration of a shared victory is cheesy and disappointing to say the least. This has been discussed enough in the public forum and I have nothing to add, even more since there already is enough vitriol in that thread again. But shared or not shared, this does not change anything for us and even if ND and GoW would slug it out now, we still would have lost and one of them won.
My hat is off to all of you, especially the turn players, but also all others, who other than me never resigned and kept the team going, even when tere was no hope anymore. I applaud the well prepared and executed invasion of Legoland, which was truly amazing, although it was a geopolitical mistake and an alliance of us and Lego against Bob would have done better. But Lego deserved it after having chosen the wrong side in the Bobian war and it was an extreme pleasure to watch.
After the unpleasant experiences with trashtalk and flamewars, which I detest, I cut my participation in both democracy games I was part of, and decided not to join any other, be it inter site or not. And I'm still feeling this way, declined all invitations to newer games and don't have plans to change this.
Should, however, the Storm gather again for a Civ4 democracy game, Fra Ralphus would be game.

I didn't know Arrian was gone missing, I assumed he was just lurking here like many others. I hope he is well, as I wish for all of you....
These really are farewell moments, if everyone is making plans to meet later for a reunion, and wonder where everyone has gone to who was here at the start of the party. Sad, really.
In the meantime we lay down your swords and clubs, bows and guns, stop our cars and tanks, planes and vessels and other vehicles.
We take our time to build our houses, to cultivate our fields, to found families and to raise our children in peace. Nothing is threatening us. The sun is shining warmly and there is no cloud in sight. Calm.
But the day will come. A light breeze first, it will quickly grow into a heavy gale, with flashes striking and black thunderclouds eclipsing the sun. The day of blood. They day of tears. The armageddon.
