It took me forever to figure out how to gethere, but I finally found a way in!
Chris has been writing like crazy the past three days, and wrote this note to the team:
“I am so sorry that I have not been able to spend more time with you, and be a more active participant in what has turned into truly a grand adventure. The time I did spend with you though, was absolutely unforgettable. So many keenly sharpened strategic minds in one place….how can there be anything but a resounding victory?!
As you march off to the war, squaring off this time against a larger (economically and land-wise, anyways) foe, I hope you will not mind if I make that journey with you, at least in spirit. When I heard the news, I must say that it stirred up my blood. The thrill of the hunt, the planning and precision, the discussions that surely must have raged in preparation…good stuffs, all! And I missed it.
I am sure that the plans are set at this late hour, and that is as it should be. Trust them. Trust the planners, who can squeeze an unbelievable number of shields out of even modest cities, and most importantly, trust your instincts and each other.
When the troops land, be quick about it. Do not get bogged down on the coast. Speed is your greatest ally, for the longer the war drags on, the mighty (even if largely untapped) economic potential of Lego will become increasingly harder to stand up to.
If I could offer up any advice at all on the topic, then I would simply offer up two words:
Break Stuff.
Burn, pillage, rip apart their beloved peace-time empire until it brings tears to their eyes, and do it quickly. Keep your forces moving relentlessly until absolutely nothing remains. Prettying up the ramshackle cities that survive can happen later, but if you want to win against Lego, then drive an emotional stake through the heart of their team. They LOVE their land. They are builders and perfectionists at heart. Make them cry for the pillaging. Become the raging demon they fear most of all, and that fear will paralyze them.
Set loose the storm, and in spirit, I will ride the winds of war with you….=)
