Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Damn, save already arrived. Something for next evening. Sleepy, I'm sorry I didn't get around to those screenshots I promised you, I'll do my best to include them with this turn.
Start
- ND offers us 250 gold for refining, accepted. Accept. That's 500/750 remaining, to be fulfilled the next 2 turns.
- GoW offers us Steel, twice. So, something went wrong with the diplo engine, again. Accept. As spotted before, it does not give the screen to choose a new tech, and automatically goes to Combustion (at 0%)
- RP sends 100 gold + WM. accepted. Send our own WM in return. Can't send horses.
- Hurricane builds rifle. Starts rifle.
- Cyclone builds worker, starts worker.
- Tempest builds rifle. starts rifle.
- Tornado builds galleon, starts galleon.
- Monsoon builds factory. Starts rifles. Could build a few galleons if needed (if shields have to go to Arashi). Could build a hospital in 4 turns, for at most 4 more worked tiles (but uni present)... however it won't get to 50 spt without more sacrifices from Arashi. My intuition says it's not worth it, and we should take the 2 rifles a hospital costs instead.
- Blizzard builds cathedral, starts galleon
- SA builds market, starts CH. Not needed now (it's at 40 spt, ideal for rifles), but needed when tanks have to be build here.
- where is RP's mind in this game? They've got 2 cities in disorder again It wasn't our mistake, our deal on furs ends in 6 turns.
calculations
Combustion is 3840 beakers. we need 960 bpt to be able to do it in 4 turns. Can we get the extra 59 bpt?
- we can add 2 workers to Typhoon (will starve, but next turn harbor completes) for +6 bpt
- we can rush the uni in Bolderberg for +20 bpt
- we can rush a uni in D-ville for +13 bpt
- rushed uni in OG gives +13 bpt (doesn't cost anything, except all the shields invested in the factory build)
- several courthouse rushes / builds could probably get us there.
All in all, the cost would be too high. I'm deminishing the slider, to get Combustion in 5. (768 bpt needed)
- 4029 gold, 90%, 809 bpt, -206 gpt. (combustion in 5 turns, 809/3840 at start of next turn)
-----
Something else: Sufa is going for a factory. However, it won't build a lot there, it could get to 15 spt, nothing more. Typhoon OTOH, could use all the tiles of Sufa, and with a hospital and WLTKD can get to 40 spt (if I counted right) If I change Sufa to a Uni, and strip it of all its shields (building a market a 100-turn pace), I should be able to build a market in Typhoon this turn, and with little rushing, a hospital in 5 turns, harbor in 6. It's a delay of 5 turns, meaning 2 less galleons, but more commerce and research afterwards.
I think I'm going for it. Changing Sufa to Uni. Typhoon to market. Foresting Sufa --> Uni in 1. foresting Typhoon --> market in 1. Hospital is next in Typhoon.
Moves
In general, the specific worker moves are not covered anymore, it gets too tedious. Only important stuff is mentioned.
- foresting on Sufa 8, 87. eta Uni=1.
- foresting on Typhoon 9, 99. Market=1.
- foresting on BB9.
- mine on BB 99 (eta uni -1)
- mining on Arashi 69.
- new rifles go to Inchoff, Blizzard and fort.
- reg galleon moves 6666. spots Lego picket, and ND frigate
- our Southern most galley moves 444. all fog uncovered. returns home.
- Northern most galley moves to Elipolis(auto, was tired of doing it by hand)
- galleon forts at Pica 222 (off the coast of ND)
- even newer galleon forts. should scout all GoW movement on our West coast
- galleon from Hurricane forts.
- new Galleon from D-ville auto moves to Inchoff (4 turns).
- new Galleon from Tornado forts.
workforce shuffles
- Cyclone set back to ideal pattern (needs this every turn).
- Monsoon swaps bonus for non-bonus grass with Arashi.
- Arashi gives hill back to Tempest. extra citizen set to taxman (no worker, as we need him for 50 spt later on)
- Tempest swaps two hills
- OG takes hill instead of sea
- Monsoon produces 42 spt. Could use 2 workers to alternate a tile between mine and irr. Normally, I wouldn't consider it, but Monsoon is at 0 food in the queue, and thus could use a bit reserve.
- EotS takes fp instead of irr plain
- SA moves off grass, onto mountain. Can move to desert next turn, for a bit more food.
- Blizzard moves onto desert (leaving one open), and onto grass, off coast. 30 spt, perfect for galleons.
Just discovered that D-ville had a granary! What a waste, it was never used AFAIK (at least not as worker pump), and has been costing us upkeep for centuries. Disbanded.
Eli : factory in 20
Inchon : aqua in 13
WoC : factory in 2 (surplus of 8 shields, which should go to Inchon or Inchoff next turn), then market in 1 (with 3 forests), cathedral in 1 (with 1 forest)
Inchoff : factory in 17 D-ville : galleon in 1
Santa Ana : CH in 2
Blizzard : galleon in 2
Monsoon : rifle in 2 Arashi : rifle in 1
WW : aqua in 3 Tempest : rifle in 1 SS: worker in 1
Hurricane : rifle in 2
OG : factory in 3 EotS : hospital in 1
Bolderberg : uni in 3 Cyclone: worker in 1
Tornado : galleon in 2 Typhoon : market in 1 Sufa : uni in 1
Other
- Lego doesn't have Sanitation yet. Vox neither.
- Vox received refining from Lego
- GoW now has 1 metro, and nearly all its territory RRed.
- ND has 2 metros, still has a lot of improving to do. I can't believe these guys, if that was my land, it would have been nearly fully improved. What a waste. They did build another city next to some silks GoW seemed to be after as well.
- in F11, we're #2 in production at 575 Megatons. (last turn 538). As every factory counts double, we're rising fast. Still, no sign of Legoland
-screenies are coming. First of all, sending the save to ND
Sigh... just closed the game, only to find out that I didn't check the precise amount of bpt. Will do so this evening or so, if I replay it to plan some more.

Silly me
I took a screenshot at the end of the game, which shows the bpt
So, this should be adapted:
4029 gold, 90%, 807 bpt, -205 gpt. (combustion in 5 turns, 807/3840 at start of next turn)
When do you intend to start contributing units to builds?

When do you intend to start contributing units to builds?
4 things that are factors in this decision:
1. When we get to more modern units, we can't have 40 spt cities for land units, but need 50 spt ones. Or similar for coastal cities. We can use the units later, as for the moment, we're doing fine
2. we don't want to rise in power to steep, and don't want to become strong to Lego over night, so the units have to go
3. except for knights, all our units hold upgrade value (granted, upgrading an MI to a guerilla isn't all that good. And spears cost a lot to upgrade). So, I consider the knights free to use as shieild reservoirs, the other units I'll try to keep my hands off for as long as possible (20x17 shields = 340 shields to use somewhere)
4. We have to keep the sea wall for the moment, and are building 2.5 rifles/turn. we can't disband all of our knights next turn.
In short: Whenever I see an opportunity to use them, I will. But right now not to hurry galleons or so, let's just wait until the bigger builds become available. Except when we would notice Lego getting weak to us, in that case we hurry with disbanding them.
The good thing is that our economy is doing so good (also with RPs help), that we are not really strapped for cash. We can afford to wait a little

So Hospitals in Sufa and Monsoon and a Uni in Sufa too? Excellent, that'll be the five needed for BM, if we go for that, and keep our bpt up for the more expensive techs.
Is there anything I should be contacting GoW about? Other than maybe a formal treaty, which would need a lot of thrashing about over internally and to-and-fro with GoW.
Things we have to consider :
What would be the scope of such a treaty?
What would the war aims be?
What would happen to Lego?
Would a GS-GoW NAP be included?
What about afterwards?
What if we don't find any WMD etc?
We've had an informal tech alliance going for nearly a whole ERA now, which says something about what can be achieved without a formal treaty. Technical arrangements could be fiddly - if we're gonna go formal I'd like to keep it simple. The proposed anti-ND treaty nearly killed me, and was never signed, which partly explains my foot-dragging on this.
