My interview went great One more tomorrow, a huge huge one for me monday and possibly another if I bother setting it up. The big one is for a deputy prosecutor position in indianapolis....which would literally set up up for life.

We are interested in Communism. how about furs and incense for 20 turns each. I assume you would want an NDA on that? We will need you to agree to not resell/gift the luxes to a third party, our own deals are largely coming to an end in that time frame, and we are seeking to continue/renegotiate them. We're not actually sure if one can regift, as it were , a lux as can be done in SP, but we'd rather not face the possibilty of another team undercutting our lux prices.

Hi Sleepy,

Let me take it to my team and I'll get back to you. If we do agree to the deal then we would like an NDA and we'll agree not to trade your luxuries to other teams.

As to our next research project, it is probably something you already have. Sanitation. And before you ask, no we can't acquire it from you as it is something we need to trade away for another deal we made.

I would like to lie, but Lego can tell them anyway. Tell them combustion, but send the reply tomorrow, explain about the lack of diplomatic focus (which is true) (and I'll be away from tonight until sunday morning).

The extra time should let the rest of the team comment.

No harm in telling them combustion. Lego surely know we've got refining and steel recently, since they can do the same analysis of the cost of these techs as we can, so its no big surprise to anyone that we're going for combustion next - there's not much else we can do. And if Vox are just curious rather than digging on Lego's behalf, it doesn't hurt us to tell them, does it.

Oh, we can assume Lego will hear from what we tell them, but indeed, it is so obvious no harm is done.

It's interesting to note that Lego is going for Steel, they're obviously trying to get to Marines asap as well, or they fear for an invasion, and need destroyers asap. ironclads aren't going to cut it when we are on the move, and they know it.

Vox Controli communism/luxury deal
Greetings to Arrian, asleepathewheel, and DeepO of Gathering Storm.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I had honestly forgotten about the potential trade. In any case Vox Controli agrees to your proposal of two 20-turn luxury options for the technology of communism. We will also agree not to re-trade either of the luxuries and request a 20 turn NDA on communism.

If this deal is still agreeable with your team then we can send you communism-accepted on our next turn. However, we are not quite ready to receive the luxuries yet, but we will soon. When we are ready for one or both I will contact you and ask you to send a luxury then.

What do they mean by soon? more or less than 5 turns? If it is anymore we are going to be cutting it close with the invasion...

Never mind asking for clarification, if they disrupt a lux deal by attacking us, it's up to them.... you can ask for some kind of time frame, but don't raise suspicion on what we're up to!

o, btw, is it possible to also copy this message in the log? And perhaps update the current deals thread as well... maybe a bit of pain now, but these things have proven their use, especially as we can't search in this forum
