  • Turn 210: 950 AD

    Start
    - Strange. GoW is offering us gems, accepted. I can't send them incense in return. Did I make a mistake last time and send them incense accepted? I din't think so... however the active deals shows Incense(19). That's not so good, as it means that instead of autorenewing, we have to think about this deal in the future, and once it cancels ask them to make it a proper incense for gems deal.

Can someone add this to the current deals thread?

    - important: GoW did not send us Steel! I thought they were supposed to do so?

    - RP sends 100 gold + WM. accepted. Send our own WM in return. Can't send horses.

    - EotS build factory (WLTKD too) Starts hospital

    - Cyclone builds worker, starts worker.

    - D-ville builds Galleon. Starts galleon

    - Tempest builds rifle. starts rifle.

    - Tornado builds galleon, starts galloen

    - Arashi builds worker. Starts rifle. Doesn't need a scientist anymore.

    - SS builds worker, starts worker.

    - 3224 gold, 0%, 0 bpt, 447 gpt.

    forces
    (- 8 spear, 27 pikes, 22 knights, 8 cat, 12 MI, 2 galley)
    - 42 workers
    - 5 rifle
    - 8 galleon

    Moves
In general, the specific worker moves are not covered anymore, it gets too tedious. Only important stuff is mentioned.

    - foresting on OG 36

    - foresting on Sufa 4

    - RR on Arashi 89 (mountain)

    - mine on Bolderberg 6 (closer to chopping for eta -1)

    - RR on SS 99. (we only have 1 tile left, unRRed. And it's the only land tile we don't use)

    - foresting on SA 9, 1. eta market -1

    - starting forest on Sufa 8, 87.

    - last worker added to Blizzard.

    - new rifle goes to Eli and fort.

[i] -2 knights disband in EotS. places on wall taken by 2 rifles EotS hospital eta -1[/b]

    - reg galleon moves 2144.
    - our Southern most galley moves 666. all fog uncovered. returns home.
    - our Northern most galleon forts. Wasn't looking, should be close to a scouting point for Vox / Lego.
    - Northern most galley moves to Elipolis(auto, was tired of doing it by hand)
    - Newly built galleon goes towards Pica 222 (off the coast of ND)
    - even newer galleon moves 7788. forting here should scout all GoW movement on our West coast
    - galleon from Hurricane moves 2222
    - new Galleon from D-ville auto moves to Inchoff (4 turns).

    workforce shuffles
    - Cyclone set back to ideal pattern (needs this every turn).

    - Arashi needs 40 spt, but can't take tiles from Monsoon this turn (can do it next turn, after Monsoon completes factory). Needs shields, so OG loses hill to Tempest (for coast), Tempest takes hill instead of other hill, Arshi takes mountain. Together with improvemenst makes for 42 spt. (extra 2 in case we need them next turn)

    - SS takes 3 deserts instead of mountain and fp.

    - D-ville takes mined grass instead of mountain. doesn't affect eta galleon, only fpt.

    - Blizzard moves off desert, and onto coast (2 tiles, new citizen included. effect = +1 gpt)

    Current Builds
long term plans for our cities

    Eli : factory in 21
    Inchon : aqua in 14
WoC : factory in 3 (surplus of 8 shields, which should go to Inchon or Inchoff), then market in 1 (with 3 forests), cathedral in 1 (with 1 forest)
    Inchoff : factory in 18
    Diss : galleon in 2
Santa Ana : market in 1
    Blizzard : cathedral in 1
    Monsoon : factory in 1
    Arashi : rifle in 2
    WW : aqua in 4
    Tempest : rifle in 1
    SS: worker in 2
    Hurricane : rifle in 1
OG : factory in 6 (should go down 2 turns next turn, when Arashi can take spt from Monsoon)
    EotS : hospital in 2
Bolderberg : uni in 5 (14 shields short of -1)
    Cyclone: worker in 1
    Tornado : galleon in 1
    Typhoon :harbor in 2
    Sufa : factory in 12

    Other

    - Lego doesn't have Sanitation yet. Vox neither.

    - Lego has refining As it is no use anymore to keep it, I'm sending it to GoW. CH, please ask them where steel is, and tell them that Lego is coming after us, we need to hurry!

    - this also means, I'm offering Refining to ND, for 20% of the cost. Sending it unaccepted as a teaser.
Could someone help me please? I'm still using the tech cost CH made, but CH, you forgot to include refining. Is that 150, or 160 editor cost? it should mean the difference between 720 and 768 gold ND owes us for refining. Not that it's a big deal, but let's be precise with ND, I think they like that.

    - in F11, we're #2 in production at 538 Megatons. (last turn 499). As every factory counts double, we're rising fast. Still, no sign of Legoland

    - screenshots will come this evening, as I intend to go over the save once more for precise planning. Right now, I'm going to spend some time in the sun, instead of wasting time inside playing games (i know, I know... heresy)

    - something else I spotted: Lego has no extra rubber available. They do have RP. I can't spot any rubber on what we can see of their land either, but it's hard to imagine they don't have any... would they only have on source? that would be interesting to know when invading them...

    Next Turn
    - finish chops near Sufa
    - Monsoon / Arashi situation solved so that OG can take the maximum shields possible.
    - set all scouting locations to where they belong, I know I've been sloppy this turn, but wasn't feeling for it. Plus, it doesn't matter anyway.

Something else: ND doesn't have navigation. maybe RP can sell it to them for 1 lux or so?

Message sent to MZ on Steel and Lux deal.

On reflection, I might have misunderstood - they already have the incense. Oh well, I'll send a correction.

Reply from MZ, he tried to send steel, but it didn't arrive, perhaps confusion with lux trade, or maybe a bug.

DeepO, is there a case for rushing another Uni somewhere with the money hauled from losing the turn on Combustion? That extra Uni might help us recover the lost turn in the long run.

I saw your message. That's unfortunate, especially as I couldn't find a scientist somewhere without sacrificing production, so the 3.5 turn tech pace can't be tested.

As to rushing a uni: I'm not sure. It looks like we're building a nice treasury here, with ND paying 20% of tech cost (meaning that effectively, our slider is set to 80% even if going full throttle) and RP sponsoring us. However, I'm not certain how much we'll need to upgrade everything.

A uni in a 50 commerce city (which would be our best) gains 25 bpt. It would cost 800 gold, so at a 1 to 1 ratio, we'll need 32 turns to win that back. I'm not sure it's worth it.

There is one exception, I think, and that's Sufa. It can give almost all its land tiles to its neighbours, after which it becomes a very low spt city, but a high cpt one. It currently is building a factory, but a uni and a hospital could be better. It would lose a production center, though, but only one that is able to produce 3-turn galleons (with factory ready). That is a city where rushing a uni can be good, as it can't build it itslef in a reasonable time frame, and all the shields we gain there by not going for production would benefit it's neighbours.
