CH, did I read the last message sent by GoW incorrectly? I thought they were going to give 500 gold, another 100 gold for the difference between Metal and Magnetism...

Further, I think they might go for a "Steam for Medicine (+ coal if we don't have it, and you have one extra) deal. We would still need 1 medeival tech, though, which might become a problem in timing...

      Yes, 500 in total.

We'd probably hit the IA about the same time as GoW finish Military Tradition, which would leave them needing ToG. They won't get that and Medicine in the time we get Steam and Electricity, and they could be at war by then and needing cash for upgrades.

I don't think we can bank on GoW being in a position to research Electricity for us. If they pay up the 500 for these deals they won't be able to buy ToG from us.

Considering that GoW knows that if we buy Medicine from them, they have no chance of completing the ToE, we might have to sweeten the deal for them, by offering ToG for free... They're our only shot at getting Medicine, most likely. ND won't do it, RP and Vox is of no help, and Lego are The team to beat, so won't get help from us.

I've posted a note from vox in their thread, please comment in the vox-democracy thread.

Some good general intel gleaned from the pm

-vox getting demo in 15-18 turns.

now, since they only got printing press 3 turns ago, this would mean that they are working at a high clip to gain this tech. We could probably guess at their tax rate/economy from this. Not that its important.

what is important is that it shows that Vox isn't contributing cash to Lego, at least in significant portions.

maybe they made significant cash off printing press or maybe they have some deals made fordemocracy.

I can't imagine anyone else wanting democracy, except for I suppose ND.

At least not enough to pay much.
