GoW have attacked the RP stack of 6 pikes, 1 MI and 4 cats in the forest SW of Pamp. RP think GoW casualties are likely to be low due to retreat.

GoW left the cats in the forest adjacent to Pamp and moved 8 riders in. As shown in the pic.

The stack directly south of their has 5 riders (4/4) and 8 catapults in. Also RP believe there are riders in the Alamo that can reach pamp.

Current RP units in Pamp are 5 pikes and 4 catapults and 4 knights.

They have pinged the riders with the cats and taken 1 hp off 2 of the elite riders.

They have 5 MI's in range and are going to attack the Riders with them......

In terms of RP losing Pamp, 13 are riders currently showing if they attack with 15 riders RP have a 70% chance of keeping the city. If they have 18 riders it's 50 - 50. If they have 20+ riders they have a clear advantage. Arnelos thinks they will likely have 20 riders in the area.

Of the 13 riders currently in RP's view most are units they haven't seen before, so they believe they are a second wave coming from the north.

RP are likely to attack with the 5 MI and all their Knight this turn.....

          Great news!!

RP have defeated the GoW stack adjacent to Pamp, suffering minimal losses and recaptured the catapults.

Using the 4 cats they managed to take 2 hps.

They then attacked with the 5 MI's first killing 3 Riders, losing only 2 MI's.

Then they attacked with the 4 knights, 2 won and 2 lost. Leaving 2 1hp elite riders and 1 2hp elite rider.

Then a Horse was brought in and killed the 2 hp rider.

Then!!! the pikes north of the Alamo attacked!!! First pike won, second one lost but the 3rd won losing only 1 hp. Re-taking the cats.

Total loss for GoW 8 riders (560 shields) 4 cats
Total loss for RP 2 knights, 2 MI, 1 pike (250 shields)

Thats alot of damage done to GoW, and the best thing is GoW lost Riders to attacking pikes

RP have 5 pikes, 8 cats, 2 knights, 1 MI and 1 horse left in Pamp to defend.

Also Merida is now an ND city!!!!

Here is the RP turn report, they are going to make a serious effort to get Lego to join in the war or at least give them GP. They are holding the save while they do that.

The Isabella moves 1-1-2 at the request of GS and spots a veteran GS galley 1-1 form her position. There is 1 4/4 ND galley and 2 3/3 ND galleys further SW of that position according to GS. We should combine forces with GS and coordinate a strike against their fleet. Until sufficient force has been amassed to successfully sink ND's 3 galleys, an attack should not be made, as knocking an ND galley to 1 Hp, having it drop its cargo and retreat while we got our ship sunk gains us nothing. If we have enough galleys (3-2 odds should be enough, though I'd like 2-on-1) to sink all of theirs, it's more than worth engaging at that point.

Excellent. Heh, Ghengis was all cocky with that post of his in the general forum. Nice to see the RPers ram it down his throat.

I still think putting their troops out on that forest tile was dumb, though.

I gotta run, sorry. I responded to Arnelos' PM, saying that personally, if he can get Lego to give gunpowder & saltpeter, I'm sure we would agree to giving luxury(ies) or whatever.

How did they get those numbers. Using the stack combat calculator I find that 15 riders gives RP a 94% chance of keeping the city. 20 riders gives GoW/ND a 55% chance (RP 45% chance of keeping the city). I'm rather nervous for Pamplona this coming turn. Lets hope that our enemies are foolish enough to want to mop up the injured units outside Pamplona first, which will drastically cut down the numbers they have to assault the city.

Great results on the RP counterattack though, although we should really take into account the shield loss cost for the pikes/cats that had to be moved there to 'lure' that GoW stack into the open. ND/GoW average losses taking out those 6 pikes and 1 MI would be 2 riders. So overall in this exchange, GoW/ND lost 10 riders, and RP lost 2 knights, 3 MI and 7 pikes. Notice how much more effective the 5 pikes in Pamplona are compared with the 6 pikes in the forest (I'm assuming Pamplona is on a hill BTW - correct me if I am wrong).

Maybe RP should declare war in game on Lego and Vox, so that they can't investigate the city for GoW?
