I have now 2 hours to play. Replaying, what nye already did.

mi 4 1 1 of Barca moves 7. Attacks elite rider at 4. Rider retreats! MI has 3 hp left!

Oops! I seem to be not in the same RNG slot. Halting here. Since this is a combat, continuing wouldn't be right. What shall I do? Opinions?

      I see 2 options,

      play on or don't

I think you should play on,

I doubt Trip would think this a serious issue especailly as it has been so long
      Are we having fun yet?

        It's a difference of 2 mi's. I don't think this can be tolerated.

Are you using different versions? 1.27f for both?

SR is right. The results are different, and we always have to use the first version of the turn that is done by the primary (or initial) player.

I have 1.27f. Don't know what might have screwed the RNG.

Well, this is definitely a problem.

No other combat was initiated before the first MI attacked in both cases (I'm assuming).

Can you both repeat the results the same as you both got the first time?

I don't know what nye did during the production phase. I just let every city, that completed a unit, build the same unit again. After this, I attacked with the MI. No other moves inbetween.

I quit the game now and play a PBEM turn. After this, I will repeat the turn to this point. If I get the same result again, I obviously can't play this turn.

Try it without changing any of the builds, just click ok to all of them, even yes to building the HG in Inchon.

I tried a few things and could only find that changing Inchon's build order made the Rider retreat.

Ok, I did so (although it sucks, I like to make the economy at the begin of turn), and now I seem to be in the same RNG slot. I let the MI's attack and get the same results as nye. Alas, my play time is gone for today. Sorry, I have to go.

We got some ****ty luck on the med inf attacks, btw.

Ok, so Vulture seems to think going for the Alamo is suicidal. It might be. I wasn't at all sure of the idea. If not the Alamo, then what? Do we try to press on in the south (without our settler, cat cover, and a bunch of our slowmovers - 3 pikes, 2 med infs)?

The problem with the RNG for different people has just cropped up recently in the ISDG also... so if we can figure this out it will affect both games.

Okay, NYE did some testing and it looks as though what you set your production to in cities does have an effect on the RNG.

6.75 def in the Alamo. With some number of riders at large (assume 3 healthy, plus those two wounded we can see) moving against it would be folly without the abilty to seige it. Remember, ND is on the move into the South, so our understrength attack would be moving into their reinforcements.

Now, moving against the stack of captured cats and workers is feasable, for one turn to force them to be destroyed/destroy them ourselves. If vulture's numbers are a guide, there is no way they could overcome a stack moved to Barca 4 4 4 1. Add the workers for instant road next turn. 8 knights ready to to follow up. That stack of cats is destroyed by GoW, or we destroy it.

That is what I intend to do in about 60 minutes if I do not hear otherwise.

Sorry, I have the save loaded and I know you are trying to get it done... where is this stack of Cats and Workers?
