    - What do we want to do with Elipolis? Things aren't looking great for us to get a useful FP on Bob in the near future, meaning that moving our FP to Elipolis could be quite valuable (and in which case we probably want to add workers in the not-too-distant future to boost its production rate). But if we want to give up or postpone a FP move there, moving a worker to a hill could finish a horseman next turn, or it could finish one in two turns without the move. My current feeling is that we're probably better off prioritizing a FP move there, but the issue is worth considering. - Nathan
    - Other big issue. How are we going to pay the gold for the upgrades? Can we out build our gold?
    - The situation in the South

    RP's situation before we move:
We attracted some attention in the South, I think. There are only 2 inf and 2 pike left at Pamplona 4 4.

      Explanation, please.
What just happened? ND's stack at P-44 attacked P? They lost all their ansars? How are RP doing - losses, promotions... leaders? (I suppose not, I guess you would have been told if one was generated)

No, that's stupid. If ND attacked, we would see some survivors. They must have moved elsewhere, probably to deal with us.
        Nevermind, ignore my stupid comments

Good- our diversion might just work- and we could even kill some ND units. I hope...

I wonder if RP (or we) could move some pikes and some workers to one of the mountains near former Salamanca, it would serve us greatly if we ever want to use Cats against its walls.

Shouldn't the stack at P-96 move to P-9? This puts the knights within strike range of Salamanca.

Shall we move in two medinfs to attack ND's mountain medinf?
If I'm not mistaken, our chances are 43.6% to kill it with the first medinf, but 84.5% to kill it with either the first or the second medinf.

I think it's pretty clear that ND is moving in force into the south. That puts us facing 11 riders and 11 plus ansars.

We have 8k in the main force, 4 more in reserve, and 6 near Pamplona. We also have some 10 mi's (about half regular).

I really hope things turn for the best down in the south- this could be a real turning point for RP, if we manage to destroy the GoW and ND force without lots of casualties, and take back a few important cities...

It might be a good idea to get back into co-ordination with RP re: some sort of offensive, or at least a diversion. We wouldn't want them to do anything rash, of course, but since we're not moving with a serious force in the south anyhow, it wouldn't hurt just feinting at some cities or even have RP attacking, as long as we make sure we have everything covered properly- so that even if they bite and attack P for example, they won't be able to win.

Any plans for replacing Valencia? If so, when?

                        Good question...

If we have 18k... and they have 22+ riders/ansars... with all of NDs builds as reinforcements... and us getting no more reinforcements in that area for a while...

What do you think we should do? Attack aggressively, or distract and defend?

Don't forget we also have RP's forces, they're not exactly insignificant, to say the least- Let us distract and defend- but the question is how to distract most efficiently- by frawing forces away from P? What would that net us? Our force will be left alone, while RP keeps on staying in the city- I think we should move towards Sal while we still can- by taking the city or even driving just driving GoW away from there, we can use that force to help take out targets of opportunities, or extinguish small pockets of enemy troops in the numeroous field towns.

One more thing- I don't thing neither ND nor GoW will go towards a great length in order to help each other, that is, if we move up against Sal, I think ND would rather attack P itself, and whatever threatens GoW held towns.

I also don't think we should rush with re-settling that much, except maybe for symbolic reasons (saying to RP, as well as its enemies that we stand united), V might be a good idea, but I'd rather we pop a town someplace more defendable. Re-settling now won't gain us much in terms of economic power out of it, and would also hinder our ability to seriously threaten enemy force in other areas, if we want to defend.

Salamanca will be a very difficult target, due to the hills+walls. It also lacks the added bonus of taking back Ivory like attacking Merida does - but perhaps for this very reason ND will be eager to defend that town.
If we choose to go for Salamanca, RP can help by attacking defensively - that is, moving a bunch of pikes and all their cats to the mountain outside Sal (it'll be a risk worth taking - GoW/ND won't attack cheap pikes on mountains and even covered with cats with their expensive UUs, but even if they do, and even if they manage to punch through all the pikes and take the cats, it'll hardly be worth it - they'll need to sacrifice about triple the number of RP pikes in riders/ansars to get to those 20 shields-each cats) and then firing at Salamanca, reducing its walls to rubble and hopefully causing some injuries to riders.
