Vox gives RoP and D'Ville, accepting as agreed.
That makes one more pop-rushed bunch of hovels under our regime.

D'Ville: one content citizen (after two luxuries, which means that the city was seriously pop-rushed, which we already know).
The good news is we can put the citizen in Elipolis back to work now that the city has access to luxuries.
With ND's spices (a total of 3 luxes), we can keep EotS running. We can keep Hurricane running as well, once we build a marketplace there.
The Colossus will be ready in 3 turns barring any unforseen disasters (meteor shower, Godzilla emerging into the coasts of Hurricane etc').

We're supposed to send two WCs to patrol Vox's territory to see that they are indeed packing up.
We're also supposed to send a luxury (I believe it's supposed to be furs, or incense, I'm not sure. Zeit?) to ND, which they will respond to with Spices, for us to confirm next turn.

we should offer RP furs and incence unaccepted this turn then if they accept the offer on their turn we should have 2 more lux by next turn unless I'm mistaken.
        Are we having fun yet?

Careful on the lux deals: make sure they have some sort of end date included, so we can get out of them without damaging our reputation!

Also send furs to GoW- they'll reply with Wine according to our agreement (they wanted to change the Chivalry part, maybe, but they said nothing new on Furs-Wine, which we already agreed upon sometime ago).

What about RP? I think OPD said we agreed on Furs+Incense for Silks+Diamonds/Ivory (can't remember which, but its not Spices, so we're okay).

What about the map trades? We have WM-WM with GoW, as well as WM-WM with RP. I think we can go through with these...

This made me remember the dinosaurs with PTW (I don't even remember if they shipped!!)

                Then I had an idea:

We need to secretly commission a Battle Chicken unit from one of the modders!

Do we have units tracking the RP galley?

I haven't been watching the diplomatic threads the last couple days. Could someone please give me a run-down on what offers, if any, we have a clear consensus that I should make in-game this turn?

NYE, I have a whole stack of horsemen and WCs hanging around RP's galley. We also need to decide whether we want to block RP's galley next turn or not (if that decision hasn't already been made).

And, btw, wtf to do with all of our military units.

Given the upcoming holiday weekend for Americans, I'd like to propose a massive GS chat at some point in the not too distant future...

We have come through a major Seldon Event (Asimov, for the SF aware), i.e., a major crux point. We can all feel the post-cathartic relief, which is fine, but need to re-group and re-energize for the going forward.

I just checked the luxury slider, and what we need to replace our boost from the war with Vox is two luxuries. To reduce the luxury slider to zero, we would need all eight luxuries without marketplaces or happiness improvements, or a total of five luxuries (three imported) with marketplaces in all our big (size 10 and up) cities. Temples would add a pop point to the size cities can reach without needing extra luxuries or entertainers.

My inclination would be to go ahead and trade for one luxury from each civ interested in trading with us. Hurricane can have a marketplace in eight turns, and Arashi will be finished with its FP so we can find one way or another to deal with it. If RP likes the idea of a two-for-two deal, going along with their desire could benefit relations and decrease the pressure for us to build marketplaces as quickly, but if they don't, there's no need to push the issue. Even with just one luxury per other civ, we'd have more than we need with marketplaces in place, but do we really want to scrape by with the bare minimum and risk having to scramble for a replacement in a huge hurry if either war or some other type of situation causes us to lose a supply? (On the other hand, we could use the fact that we don't have to have a luxury from everyone as negotiating power if other civs try to overcharge us.)

We have just a few minutes left to finish the turn. If no one objects, I'll offer furs to GoW and ND and both furs and incense to RP. If two of the three deals hits (or if the RP one hits in any case), we can drop the luxury slider back to 10% next turn. If all three hit, we're in good shape once we have marketplaces.

At the moment, luxury trades with Lego are not possible. Checking the map, neither of their two coastal cities that we can see has a harbor, so we'll need to get more map information and/or have them build a harbor before we can trade luxuries with them.
