    Proposed naval moves:

    1) Scout again with the northeastern pair?

    2) Have the northwestern galley move 8-8-8-1, 8-8-1, or 8-1, whatever lets him see the most without ending up in a position whre a Voxian unit can see him. (At any but the last, a Voxian unit moving onto the jungle in their turn could spot the galley, but if Vox ties up a lot of troops on coastal jungle tiles, that can't be too bad for us.)

    3) Move the galley near RP lands 8-8-8-9. That clears up a little more black without delayig its reaching Monsoon.

    4) Move the other two galleys, including the new one, toward Monsoon.

Shiber, have you ever tried to write something and then, in the middle, thought of something that made you start rewriting, and then, while in the middle of the rewrite, thought of something else that would get you rewriting the rewrite, and so on? That's what started happening to me when I tried to address the Colossus issue. I need to get my own thinking a bit straighter and (I hope) find a time when I'm a bit less tired before I try posting on that. But that time won't be tonight.

I need to go back in to work for a couple hours or so, and I'll finish playing the turn when I get back. Unless someone starts lobbying for us to go ahead and attack this turn, I think I'll hold off until next turn since there doesn't seem to be much of anyone around to watch the attack (execution?) right now.

Nathan, I know the feeling. It's quite annoying when you have something really long and thought up written up in front of you and then you start thinking to yourself "uhh... naaah" and trash the whole thing.
I perfectly understand if you can't address the issue right now, but I'm asking you to address it this turn. IMHO it is important that we start the Colossus this turn if we want to compete for it, and several other members have agreed.

I just noticed that the map screenshot I sent is from before I did a little tinkering with tile allocation in the Cyclone area. I reshuffled things so Cyclone won't grow next turn but can the turn after if we want another settler.

By the way, our galleys didn't find anything particularly different other than that the units 8 from Dissidentville aren't there anymore (not surprising, since they were in transit).

I did one thing a little different from how I'd planned: I went ahead and moved one of the vet MedInfs from Arashi into Tempest instead of on the hill. Four on the hill (two vets and two regulars) should be plenty, coupled with other forces, to deal with a move against Monsoon, and I'd rather not give Vox the full picture of how big our forces are.

Nathan- could you please send me the .sav each turn from now on?

I don't know if you can, cause i never tried to, but can you save than continue playing without ending the turn (that is, saving in the middle of turn, before you hit the "end turn" button). If you can do that, why not send the file to everyone who want to take a closer look at how things are going- it could really help you with the micromanagement if some of us look at the situation each turn.
This way we have a better chance forseeing arising issues in happiness and laborers allocation, as well as lots of other stuff...

Of course, we will have to make sure everyone knows the file is just for looking, not touching...

I'd like to look at the save if it isn't too much trouble.

Good decision re: not attacking the immortals this turn.

Theseus: there is no rush. They are losing hitpoints every turn to our cats, and furthermore, we're just not ready to go on the offensive yet.

Nathan, I look forward to your thoughts on the Colossus.

Why are we still building pikes?
We have enough in both Arashi and Tempest to deal with Vox's 7 immortals stack when it was healthy, and soon they'll be free to serve other purposes. We have enough troops on top of two different mountains near SS, each stack capable of blocking Vox's 5 healthy immortals.
Shouldn't we start building horsemen in EotS and Hurricane (if we give up on the Colossus) instead of Pikes? Or do we still need more pikes to carry out our naval operations?

We probably want a few more Pikes, but they don't all have to be right now. Building the Pikes first is probably a good idea though, as we can send them up the mountains while we are building Horses, and have them in place to protect our fast mover stacks once they are ready to go.

I want at least one of the two 30-shield cities switched over to Horsies now, though. It looks like we're not going for the Colossus (hey, fair 'nough, good points by those opposed), so both cities can continue to build units (though perhaps, just perhaps, before our GA ends, we might want to punch out a marketplace in each).
