Theseus, does my plan for the production phase (short-rushing a MedInf in O.G. but otherwise leaving things alone) look okay with you?

Nathan, you are on top of this turn... do it.

      Thanks for the call, btw.

I went ahead and took the cat shots. Three hits out of seven; not great, but not bad. Eli the Eliminator is now the only immortal with three hit points left. A couple more turns at this pace and we'll be ready to move in for the kill. And Vox's odds of accomplishing anything against our towns are near zero.

I've already described my plans for defending the two cities. Other moves:

        1) Replace the two regular swordsmen on Hurricane 8 with the new Hurricane pike and the horseman currently in Sandstorm, and move those two swordsmen into Sandstorm and upgrade them. (That defends Hurricane 8 with four pikes, a vet MedInf, and a horse who won't actually have to defend.)

        2) Move the new EotS pike to the usual location where he can reach Arashi, Arashi 9, or one of the Sandstorm area tiles.

        3) Move the Hurricane area workers to Sandstorm 6 and start mining. Vox would have less than a 1% chance of taking the tile; with that compared with the losses they're far more likey to suffer in such an attack, I'd love to see them try.

        4) Put a couple workers on Arashi 9 to rebuild our road there.

        Naval:

        1) Northeastern galleys scout same as last turn unless something they see calls for a change.

        2) Northwestern galley moves 8-8-2-2 to scout and end up back where he is, threatening the mountains around Dissidentville.

        3) Other galleys move toward the embarkation point for Operation Inchon, assuming we activate it.

I'll go ahead and make the moves about half an hour after the post if no one calls for doing something different.

          Production:

Keep EotS and Hurricane on pikes for at least one more turn. The Hurricane pike will give us four each on Hurricane 8 and Sandstorm 6, and the EotS one can be used if we try Inchon or some other operation that requires three separate major pike forces in the west.

Not just me. The cats and the extensive use of gold to rush units (especially short rushing) came from other people's playbooks, and Aeson came up with the magic formula for getting one-turn pikes in EotS and Arashi. Together, we're a lot better than any one of us individually! One of the goals of this team was to learn from each other, and I'd say we're accomplishing that goal wonderfully.

Vox actually left a road tile in the northeast open this turn. Too bad our galleys aren't really loaded to the gills with pikes. (The tile left open was 4-7 from the colony.)

The unit showing in Dissidentville is a vet immortal. They have a regular immortal, a vet warrior, two regular warriors, and two workers (presumably the ones who had built the mountain road) 8 from Dissidentville, and a regular immortal ("Hoover the Deep Cleaner") on an unroaded jungle 8-7 from Dissidentville.

The force 8-8 from Arashi is a vet spear and two vet immortals.

After the upgrade, our military is still showing Average compared with Vox's.

Turn sent. I forgot to grab the usual batch of end-of-turn screenshots, but the main thing worth noting is that Lego seems (based on score and power) to have built another city.

By the way, based on the damage levels, I'm guessing a couple Voxian immortals took ZOC damage while they were moving. At least I don't remember knocking any down to two hit points with cats during our turns before this one, but two were down there before we started our bombardment.

Well played. 1-2 turns more bombardment, and then we can go for the kill.

I definitely want a screenshot of Eli the Eliminated!

                        Good one Arrian.

I wanted to check how many elites we have so I opened the save that I received from Nathan, but then I realized that I have forgotten the password.
Could anybody post it here please?

                                Nicely done.

With GoW saying the Chivalry deal is still on, perhaps we should stop short rushing now and switch to mostly Horses/WC's after the next round. We need to build up that 200g for the trade, and some more for the upgrades.

Vox pillaging their own road seems to say we don't have another major stack coming to Arashi, and we won't be able to salvage the road of course. So our quickest way to hit Dissidentville is going to be from the East with fast movers, while we plow a road through the Mountains for our Cats.

Should be pretty well timed for our SS6 Workers, several Pikes, and the A9 Workers to combine for a 2 turn Mountain road crew after their current jobs are dealt with.
