We are probably going to have to say something about Sun Tzu, if not as a thread (too arrogant?) then at least as a post someplace. Maybe some nice pics, there was one here already. Maybe a joke or two from Vel. And could someone, myself perhaps, use fat boy ramses as an avatar, or would that be too over the top?

Just type "F7" in the trash talk thread.
I know we are all trying to be nice and self-deprecating and humble, but c'mon.... one of us should be a designated trash-talker.
We could keep it light. A series of posts:
"F7"
"A4"
"G7"
"C8"
"E7"
"Awwww, you sunk my battleship!!"The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

I was thinking more along the lines of thanking the generous people Vox Controli and Glory of War, for having taught us so much about warfare.
In our desperation to learn about the intricacies of warfare so that we could defend our people from the Voxian hordes, we searched far and wide for an appropriate teacher.
As it turned out, a member of the elite Mad King Donegeal Horse who survived the destruction of that unit by our War Chariots, was convinced to stay on and instruct our people in the Art of War.
His name, I'm told, is Sun Tzu...

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Arrian: I love it, but I'm voting against it. It's a little bit too much on the gloating side.
Edit: if we remove the bit about thanking Vox and GoW for giving us experience in warfare, I'd be fine with it."Close your eyes, for your eyes will only tell the truth,
And the truth isn't what you want to see,
Close your eyes, and let music set you free..."

Right... a response to the redelnep fellow...
"Dear redelnep,
We're sorry we can't disclose any sensitive information, but rest assured this war is real. We enjoy talking about bananas and chickens, and don't want to brag about victories, or create false hopes for other teams *cough*GoW*cough* that our forces are weak.
Without screenshots, you could of course believe us at our word of honor, something we of Gathering Storm strongly believe in. But, there is a better method... we released earlier that we gained a leader 2 turns ago, dismissing what Comical Ali aptly called "Voxian decoys", albeit in form of a story for you to read. Since then, we have used this leader to build a wonder, that we could not have gained in any other way as it would be too expensive to camouflage with a palace prebuild. You can check this information on your F7 screen, if you wish to verify our claims.
Now, can we please get back to hurling bananas at those alleged immortals? It's a lot more fun, or at least, it is intended like that "
Okay, probably somebody has to rewrite this, but you get the idea

Whoa FP, I'm surprised you didn't know he was renamed as such officiallyIs God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

How's this? (Edit: Massive cross-post)
As Ramses was driven home from the battle, his group was joined by wagons carrying the highest-ranking survivors from Mad King Donegeal's valiant company. Never one to pass up an opportunity to show off his chef's cooking, he invited them to dinner.
As the days went on, so did Ramses' dinners with his new guests. He found their warrior culture almost as fascinating as he did his chef's latest pastries, and came to respect their understanding of strategy. One of the Glorious Warriors proved especially brilliant, and by the time the wagons reached Eye of the Storm, Ramses had an idea.
Two weeks later, everything was settled. Several of the new arrivals still held grudges regarding the Voxian incursion onto Bob, and could be persuaded (for a price) to help Ramses in developing strategies to use against them. A new academy would be built, a place where future military leaders could come to learn the Art of War. And chief among the instructors would be brilliant strategist Sun Tsu.
